  1. Because it cost next to nothing and they can see the potential in him. Them moving on from Dak and trying Lance in 25 is a long shot, but it's not one of the craziest long shot bets out there. Someone is going to be giving Lance a shot in the next year. I would bet on that.
  2. Charisma. I know that without looking it up. That means I'm hip to all the lingo the hepcats use nowadays. Word.
  3. Having thought on it, it's obvious why they are bringing these guys in at the same time. They are going it to have them here to employ one of the oldest, most time-tested methods of determining the best possible choice.
  4. The draft is 9 days away. WTF Are you waiting for? With all the big money us good people spend on this site, the least you could do is get your work done in a timely fashion!
  5. I'm waiting to hear how this all shook out before jumping to far up the conclusion tree. But it seems, at best, questionable if accurate.
  6. Come on, man! What was he wearing? Was there burgundy in the outfit? Was he wearing red, white and/or blue, indicating he wants to got to the Patriots? Was he drinking anything when he entered the building? If so, was it gold ole' American Dunkin Donuts coffee or was he drinking a Starbuck latte like some kind of communist? If you don't think there was news value to seeing him arrive you are a fool. A FOOL, I SAY!!!
  7. I've heard it is April 19, which is Friday. Googled at it came up in a Buffalo newspaper article too, but you need a subscription to see the article
  8. Willing to be once these visits shake out, it's not going to be anything like what's being said now.
  9. I think Eddie is still waiting on dessert. But we are in the home stretch of that meal, finally.
  10. I think he's given his reasons for believing Maye's big issues are more correctable than Maye's. You can disagree, but on the big ones it seems pretty self-evident why he'd be aiming that case. Obviously, there's not much that ca be done about Daniels' frame or arm strength, but Maye's mechanics and the accuracy issues that come with them are the types of things tha are fixed pretty often. I mean if I said a guy who's missing a limb is a bigger long-term issue than a guy who has a hangnail, I don't think that would be bad faith" argument.
  11. Yeah, I think that is just a lazy take based on him being a game manger type QB for Michigan and Smith being the first QB people think of when they think of game managers. There is not much of a comparison between the two, imo.
  12. Yes, living in New England, I can tell you that the number 3 pick is nothing but a source of mellow 'take it as it comes' zen-like relaxed takes as they calmly wait to accept whatever outcome occurs. In case you aren't familiar with my personality or posting history:
  13. Yeah, the fact that he dint run at his pro day where he had put on extra weight makes me dismiss it to some extent. I think that's something guys with concerns about weight do often. Put on some extra food weight but you don't want to run if that's what you did. the weight will slow you down. I think the standard is to get weighed at the combine with extra weight and then drop it and run at the pro day.
  14. I heard it earlier today. The one thing I'll point to in it is his trying to rationalize the hits Daniels takes by saying he might be playing reckless because you can't afford to lose games is college and that'll be different int he NFL so maybe those plays will completely go away. That's laughable Again, I think Cooley does spectacular breakdowns. His opinion Is obviously a valuable one. I just haven't heard a lot on QBs from him and the little I did wasn't nearly as great. Mainly I remember the 21 draft where he gushed about Wilson. I remember at one point saying he was considering making someone, and I believe it was Mac, his QB2. Sheehan said "behind Lawrence?" and he said "No, behind Wilson" so, you know, that wasn't great. I don't remember him doing QBs last year or what he said about Herbert and Tua (Burrow was such a no-brainer, so I would expect eh knew that). 22 was a garbage draft for qbs. So hasn't been much to chew on with QBs. I know I've heard he nailed Josh Allen, but all these guys have a "he was right about ---" that people call back to. All that is to say, he's great at what he's done, just not seen enough to be 100% on him at QB. Still only a few people doing breakdowns have touched on Daniels' lack of instincts when it comes to taking hits. I've given up that most are going to zero in on what the real issue is there. Just hearing a bunch of them say "just slide more" as if that is a panacea is fairly comical.
  15. One thing I've learned from all the stats and metrics being posted is that all these QBs are terrible, while simultaneously great.
