  1. No I don’t know, which is why I said it’s possible they rate him a lot higher than others do.
  2. I have no idea who that is. It sounds wrestler-ish, which would explain why I’ve never heard of him.
  3. I was about to say the same thing. Well, the first half. Not the witty putdown at the end.
  4. There's no way you take a QB on a lower tier no matter what the offer is. It's possible they like Penix a good deal more than most, or they just invited him because it couldn't hurt anything. But no way they are thinking about trading way down and taking a QB they consider much lesser than the top 4.
  5. I mean, there was enough smoke that I wanted no part of him, so obviously Washington knew about it and decided he was worth the risk. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2773078
  6. It seemed like there was enough about Guice before the draft. I hated that pick for that reason. Ooh, I'm sorry. I am not allowed to say that. I mean, I had a mildly negative opinion of Derius Guice, but there is no way I could possibly know as much as an NFL front office, so dunno- maybe it was a good pick, maybe not?
  7. It seemed odd at first to me. But of course they have done so much work on these guys, that I can see this as one final bit of intel gathering. Once I saw how it was shaking out, it raises some interesting possibilities. I mean, if these QBs can be friendly and supportive of each other in this circumstance, then they probably tend towards being good teammates down the road. I wonder if it will lose much of that value after all the talk about it. Once you know what's coming, it seems like it'd be pretty easy to coach guys up on how to act next time.
  8. Dude. I went to the movies the other night and the Daniels' agent thing happened. I wish it was three pages I missed out on.
  9. Actually what I said is what the main purpose of the board is. And I also said mocking people for the fact of having opinions. I don't know what you're trying to accomplish here, and really don't care. It's ridiculous, and whatever it is you're not even attempting do it with any level of good faith. I actually remember having good conversations with you in the past, but this isn't one of them and it has zero purpose, so I won't bother with it any more. Have a good day.
  10. No, I never said, pretended, hinted or implied that I was always right. I have said plenty of times that I have been wrong. Want me to say it agin? Fine. I am often wrong. I am a fallible human being. Wow. Wasn't even hard to type that. Amazing. What I did do, and I think it was pretty clear, was to ask how this logic works? That those of us who have called many decisions bad and been proven right deserve to be told over and over again that we're flawed humans for having those opinions? But anyone who said we were stupid for daring to say such things should continue to do so, and be, what, celebrated for it? Yeah, I don't take that seriously. Personally, since this is a football message board, I would think it's main purpose is to share, discuss and debate actual football opinions, rather than using it mock people for having the gall to have said opinions. But maybe that's just me.
  11. I think KDawg was making the point the other night (I would research t, but since it was 36 hours in the past it was probably more than 100 pages ago) that the JD's agent stuff could well be more of a symptom than a cause. In other words, the agent tweeting annoyance at Washington isn't going to result in Daniels not being picked here, but that he is tweeting it because he knows Daniels isn't the pick here. So, he's doing damage control for his client not being picked #2.
  12. I don't know of anyone who claims to be smarter or know more than FO people. It's a completely bad faith way to belittle people's opinions. Because that's what they are, opinions. Opinions about football players. You should be able to express the opinion that a move could be a mistake without someone straw manning the claim that you think you know everything. And, again, it's disingenuous at that. Many of the same people who will tell you you are a fool to think you know if a draft pick is a mistake would have been perfectly fine doing the same to Rivera last year. Rivera who had access to way more information than any of us had and whole professional Front Office at his disposal. We could have called him anything we wanted, but we can't disagree with anything Peters does, because we don't have access t all the info he has? How does that work? While we're trying to square some logic circles, how many of us were called idiots on this board for, say, thinking signing Albert Haynesworth was a mistake? How about Donovan McNabb? Jay Gruden? Dwayne Haskins? Carson Wentz? I was called every name in the book here for thinking I knew enough to call them mistakes. So were many other posters here. So, how does that work? The people who said I was stupid for thinking I knew those things were mistakes can stand up again and tell me how dumb I am for thinking something else is a mistake? Sure, I should definitely take that seriously.
  13. I think this kind of takes is horrible and does a real disservice to the board in general. Because if you don't declare your love of one particular QB, how are the rest of us supposed to tell you what an idiot you are?
  14. Still what I see in those hits seems to be different ors most everyone else. The "looney tunes" element to the Daniels hits is the way his head and limbs fly around when the hard contact comes. It's an instinct thing. Why did Griffin get hurt not he Ngata hit? You can blame the hit being late (debatable), but the reason it was so much damage is what his leg is doing. Why the F does his leg fly around like this? Do you ever see this from NFL runners? It's just a weird inability to control your body on big hits that the two of them have. It's hard to imagine it's survivable. It wasn't for RG3.
