  1. As you all know there is a new vigorous assault on our name led by a small minority of American Indians and picked up by the majority of the national media. We have united in the hopes that maybe our voices will be heard as well. Will you please come join us in our fight? Hail to the Redskins!!!https://www.facebook.com/groups/savetheRedskins/ There is now a petition on the group page as well, please sign.
  2. I think that this is the best part about the whole mess. They have made up this false history of Redskins being a racial slur so when they finally win and the team is forced to change the name they are screwed. The team will almost assuredly pick the name Warriors, Snyder already purchased it back when he thought he lost the first time around, then Blackhorse and Harjo will have to come back and say that it wasn't enough that we changed from Redskins. Their public support will all but vanish.
  3. "The logo is a Native American face, not a redskin potato." and the reason for this? So does Walter Wetzel, former chairman of the Blackfoot tribe and president of the National Congress of American Indians in the 1960s. By the early '60s, the Redskins had dropped any reference to Indians in their logo, uniforms and merchandise. Wetzel went to the Redskins office with photos of Indians in full headdress. If you are on facebook and are against changing the name please join our group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/savetheRedskins/ "There is a small group of people with American Indian ancestry that have waged a war on sports teams with Indian mascots. The primary target of this group is the Washington Redskins. They use revisionist history and feigned outrage to advance their agenda. Though their numbers are small their voices are loud, it is now time that we make our voices heard as well."
  6. Impossible because almost every other team wears their darks at home. For equality and fashion sake we should wear Burgundy with gold pants at home, and white with burgundy pants on the road.
  7. With all this HC nonsense driving us all crazy, I thing we should take a breather and discuss something I don't hear a lot. Where are our Burgundy jerseys? I may have miscounted but in the 2007 football season I think we wore our whites in 16 games, 15 regular season and 1 post season, and our burgundies just once. When I was growing up teams wore their whites at home and their darks on the road now that the NFL lets the home team decide, we only get to wear our Burgundies when we go to Dallas. I think this stinks! I am behind whatever HC candidate that wants to wear the Burgundy jersey
  8. is that for real? That's the most intelligent I've ever seen him look!
