  1. I dont know how many people have ever wrestled and or fought a 265 lb. fat guy with the kind of belly that Roy Nelson had. Kimbo came damn close to rolling home over last night, but ultimatley the girth of Nelson was too much to overcome. Kimbo was winning that fight until the stoppage. Even Dana White pointed out that Kimbo gave the more talented fight, and that he saw no reason for Roy Nelson to gloat... It was easy to see that Nelson too was getting rocked by Kimbo....he ate a big right and an elbow...Kimbo made the fatal rookie mistake of trying for the knee lift while being forced backwards. And what was up with those punches? Roy Nelson's punches look like they did no damage at all to Kimbo on the ground....
  2. Last i read they are now calling Gatti's death a suicide......crazy
  3. They need to think about if Brock is good for the sport if he keeps disrespecting his opponents, and flipping off the crowd. Dana White has already warned him..He has also said that it's not the WWE, he doesn't like the concept of his fighters playing a good guy vs bad guy role, or doing things to get heat from the crowd...he said to leave that in the WWE. I will root against Brock for his whole career, until he can be a better sport. He represents our sport, and now he's putting it in a negative light. So he can knock people out, so what. I hope Brock learns from this and becomes a better people person...
  4. When Mike was a fighter in his young days, he was trained to be patient and wait for openings instead of rushing in and loading up for the 1 punch KO's. Those are the fights i was watching, for whoever asked. Tyson didn't go straight for the KO until after he get away from Rooney and started going through that string of trainers. Post-Prison only made it worse as trainers focused on his incredible punching powers instead of going back to the fundamentals like Rooney and Cus did. Those knockouts happened so early because Mike was overwhelming with speed and strength...during his fights in the 1980s he showed his opponents respect and never went for the 1 punch KO....
  5. Somebody asked me about comparing Brock to Mike Tyson and they couldn't understand the point i was trying to make. I'll try to elabroate some: Mike started out training hard and had a love for boxing. He was knocking everybody out. But he also had great technique and was a great technician. In his early fights, he didn't go headhunting. The knockouts just happened. Mike had great defensive ability and his strength and conditioning were next to none. As Mike started tasting the money, he relied less and less on boxing technique. Cus died, he fired Kevin Rooney, and just kind of coasted through his later fights pre-prison. He was loading up for the KO punch and not throwing combinations, not even training hard. He didn't train at all for Buster Douglas who he and everyone else considered just another victim. Douglas outworked him for 10 rounds and then knocked him out...After that Tyson was never the same fighter. He still fought and knocked guys out, but he was shot as a fighter. He won because guys were scared of him and beat themselves mentally. BROCK will be the same way if he isn't careful. He may feel like his size will get him by, and he wont have to train or take opponents seriously. He will get caught sometime soon by a good fighter who isn't afraid. Brock's chin has never been tested. For all we know he can't take a shot, and once that's shown, everybody will know his weakness....
  6. I myself want to see Brock Lesnar vs Kimbo. Dana White needs to make that fight. Slice is on The Ultimate Fighter this season, so its reasonable to expect that he gets a contract. I dont look down on Kimbo for his loss against Petruzelli. Anybody who has fought knows that you can get caught at any time. Kimbo was knocking mf's before that. I think Lesnar wins easily if it goes to the ground, but I think he'd be a fool to stand and try and trade with Kimbo
  7. Brock is an *******. He had no right to flip of the crowd last night who was booing him. They weren't booing him over the victory, they were booing him because of the disrespect he shows his opponents. You mark my words. Brock is going to be like Tyson. Somebody is gonna fight him one day who isn't old (Randy Couture), or injured (Frank Mir), and they are going to beat him badly. His career will be over after that. I like fighters who fight with good sportsmanship. Brock isn't any of those things. And i'd be shocked if the UFC doesn't say something to him about flipping off the crowd. That was absolutley unneccesary. I say do Frank Mir vs Lesnar for the rubber match. Did you see Mir's freaking leg last night? It had the hell bandaged out of it. Let him get completley healthy and do it again. The fight would be good for the sport, good for the money, and If Lesnar is the real deal, then let him prove it against a healthy opponent. I myself personally think that Lesnar is a dumb oaf who only wins because of his size. He has shown no talent past throwing haymaker punches. He is accomplished as a wrestler and shows good wrestling ability, but that's it. And he had to insult the logo on the mat last night too (Bud Light). Why be such an ******* to insult the fans, your opponent, and then talk **** about the sponser???
