Sitting down during the game, missing meetings, getting IVs. Maybe I'm just salty because of personal experiences with Cancer. I'm not optimistic and I believe our record reflects our HCs health.

I feel the same based on my experiences with battling cancer as well. I can't see how this is going to work for Ron during treatment/recovery. He should step aside and focus his energy on his health. Coaching in the NFL is a dream job, but it's just a job.

    What the **** is this?

You've got a guy posting about real life tragedy, with people's clothes being melted onto their skin and you come at him with this ****?

One trash person laughs at his posts, another complains about memes when it's not memes, but what seems to be actual photos of his neighbors devastation, and then you top it off with some dense ass attempt at victim blaming?

Some of the people posting on this site disgust me.

RELAX. If you're going to quote me, please talk to me directly, not to an audience. :)

Not speaking for user twa, but where does twa think the tragedy is funny? He laughed at a Asbury post, but it wasn't at the victims. I stand correct on my response to AsburySkinFan.  Look at his recent posts, I think it's fair amount of evidence to make the claim of playing for teams.

Funny how @twalaughs at this and yet it actually happened 10 miles from my house...literally this exact scene...to the letter.

This is your GOP, they don't give a **** about people, it's profits and military they care about. If the rich are hurting then the government opens her legs wide, if it's the average person then the whore house is closed for business. Oh, you have some land that a wealthy developer can make money from? Well, now the government is against you taking away your right to your own land, making you a serf to the corporate greed.

    Nothing has changed.

Talk about playing for teams. Wow. It's always the other parties fault with you, isn't it?

I listen to both Doc Walker and Brian Mitchell's shows

I listen to a lot of Redskin shows too ....but I watched the entire thanksgiving game to form my own opinion.

You can find penalties on almost every play on either team on thanksgiving, when they choose to finally throw a flag or do oddly do nothing to obvious calls is where it makes things interesting. If you're going to be bias at any level in a game, it wouldn't be unreasonable to be low key about it by calling a bogus calls/no call for either team. With a even balance NFL, the officials have more of a impact than it ever has. See the 3rd Down call on our defense in the 4th quarter..a massive back breaker. It's about the timing is where things get strange.

I’m convinced you will never convince a conspiracy theorist there is no conspiracy no matter the proof, or in this case, the lack of proof.

Do you have proof that the officials were not biased?

I'm not saying Roger Goodell and the NFL boggy man are out to ruin the Redskins and not saying this happens often at all. I just feel there was some bias among the officials in this game. I'm not sure why there was bias.

Ok so let's say the refs were bias against us and those calls and no calls against us hurt our chances to win...  Why not show the same type of energy when we win games because of bad calls against the opposing team???  We care about the overall integrity of the game right??

Nobody here was whining and crying when we won a couple games this year off of bad calls.  Can't expect everything to go your way and when it doesn't, it's all of a sudden a conspiracy and bias.....  But when we win because of it, "We played a great game"!!!!

Please list the games of bad calls that won us the game like it did for Dallas.

Yes. I'm for the integrity of the game. I normally don't blame the officials for a loss. Sure, bad calls has went our way in some games, but not in the way it worked for Dallas. Did you honestly watch the entire game? When we came crawling back, the officials suddenly shorted a fuse. It was that bad. These penalties and no calls shaped the outcome of the game. Kinda like it worked for the Texans the week before...

  6. After yesterday, I don't know what to believe anymore. I'm starting to agree with those who think things are bias, especially this game. I don't know what the officials are looking at and how they are missing these calls and why they threw the flags on some of it. It tend to work against us at the worst times possible. Very puzzling to me.

But if you think the officials mistakes didn't have a huge impact in this game, then you weren't watching the same game as me. I'm sorry, it was that obvious.

  7. I like the old skool like with the exception of the big, wide yellow and white strips.  Ace them -- go for a cleaner look with maybe one thin yellow stripe or none.  Same with the helmets.

I personally like the darker burgundy and Gulden's mustard gold myself -- re=brand the team in those colors.

Why one thin line? 2 Wide stripes looked clean to me and classic. But I agree with a darker burgundy.

Right now, we have one of the most confusing uniforms in the league because nothing matches. For a professional sports team, you would think they would do something to fix something simple because we look weird.

  8. Disagree completely.  Mustard as you call it is better than the khaki "gold".  I think the "mustard" argument is kinda dumb anyway.  I say it's dumb because ANY shade of "gold" you can claim it to be mustard.  The color worn today for the throwbacks is spicy brown mustard, so when people call the regular gold pants "mustard" I think it's just kinda stupid.  Besides, our team colors are Burgundy & Gold.  Not sure what is not to like about our colors.  I love them, but they definitely need tweaks...

For starters, the piping on the uniforms / helmets / socks is a disaster.  Someone needs to get on this.  Second, the current burgundy the team uses is too red for my liking.  I prefer the color of burgundy used today on the throwbacks.   Third, I think the "gold" is too bright.  I think it needs to be deeper in color, and a a shade or two darker (but not khaki - I don't want us looking like Boston College).   If it were up to me the "gold" would be somewhere in between the regular gold and the gold used for the 70th Anniversary uniforms.

I've said it multiple times, but here it goes again...

Home should be Burgundy on Gold.  This is an awesome look, and showcases our team's colors.

Away should be White on Burgundy for the most part, but now and then, bust out the White on Gold.

I prefer the khaki gold and that shade of red. Looked more rough/serious. But the uniforms sucked. I'm one of the very few, but seeing an overwhelming amount of bright colors in football never looked right to me.

Agreed about the piping being screwed up. Looks like Snyder is trying to save nickels/dimes on a tight budget and probably is.

  9. Our current shade of gold is truly gold per the color and design world.  The gold of year's past with the darker tint is "old gold".

Yes, technically it is gold. But most people who see this shade of gold will likely say its yellow. To me, it was part of an idea in the late 60s to mimic the packers which is sad. It's an eyesore to look at. When Bruce Allen is fired, hopefully they go with him.

they were gold before the 70s though, just not this shade.  Frankly I don't like gold-gold in fabric(or much of anything really) so I'm perfectly happy with this shade.  I just wish we'd wear burgundy with the white jerseys

That is why I mentioned the those pants started in the 70s, not 30s. Agree with burgundy with white jerseys man.

  10. I heard something about a new Redskins uniform submitted to the league on Redskins Nation today but only the tail end of the sentence and then Michael complained about having to go into it again.  Can anyone tell me what he was talking about?

Hopefully it's doing some modernization or having a consistent look to our team. I love our history, but these uniforms isn't going to bring a 80s Gibbs or Allen back. Need something to represent the present and teams do this through updates in uniforms, no different than we use to do. Doesn't have to be loud, but something better than what we have now.

Personally, I hope they fuse the 80th anniversary colors with updated uniforms or at least fix the stripes. Maybe even ditching the helmet stripes.

We have worn Burgundy tops with Gold pants longer than any other combo. It is our real uniform.

If your refering to the current yellowish gold we now, that is simply not true. Even Burg pants have longer history than these yellow pants.

    Burg pants : 1980-2009

    Yellow gold pants: 1970s, 2010-present

  11. It's sad times that the WWE is forcing themselves to rely on old faces or guest hosts as a cheap attempt to boost ratings which hasn't been working.

Use your roster and not guest/legends to hog TV time. Can't make compelling story-lines because majority of the roster has poor mic skills or can't wrestle. Probably have no business being in the WWE. WWE always has had the problem with a handicap roster where most of the roster has serious weaknesses whether it's in the ring or on the mic. If your not a pro with both skills, WWE shouldn't be signing you. Wit no competition, WWE is in the position to be picking & choosy. Problem is Vince goes for "the look" approach and it has hurt them, he still thinks the WWE should be a land of 7 foot giants.

  12. UnWise Mike has posted pictures of potential unis if the name is changed.  Check these out.

skinfan2k, Thanks for sharing. If we had to modernize our a team look, that's the way to go. Maybe replace the black with a type of dark red and use a spear as our logo. However, if political correctness wins, I don't think I could ever get use to calling them Warriors and using a letter "W" for our logo.

  13. If you suck ass, and your FO/ownership is a mess, you are going to suck no matter what uniform you are wearing. Regardless of how many SB's we won in the white/burg, we also sucked for almost 20 years in them. Fans want a new spin on things. For everyone who hates the gold pants, if you talk to more fans of other teams, you'll see that a lot of them think the burg/gold-white/gold is one of the cleanest looks in the NFL.

Sometimes it's okay to not wear the same jersey every game, and bring a little flavor to the table.

I see your point on needing a new spin on things. But the gold pants isn't something new at all. It was used in the 70s. People I talked to say the redskins uniform doesn't match up because it doesn't. Their uniforms are clashing with two eras. I'm not the biggest fan of the gold pants, but if done right, i can live with it. They need to at least attempt to make it more modern to better represent this era, not the previous ones. Doesn't have to be loud looking. We should consider what the Vikings did this year.
