  1. It's so sad to see this happen to a young person, when you get to a point where all you see is sadness and darkness it's hard to climb back out. Saw on Redditt that she's a self-described bi-sexual, I can't fathom how much pressure her father's public platform has put pressure on her. I hope she gets the help she needs and can start healing both physically and mentally.
  2. We looked at the ID4, she liked it but wanted something that could seat seven. We have two kids that play sports, and she ends up carpooling other kids around once a week. That really limited the available models to really the X. She's really interested in the Rivian, she likes that it looks like a typical SUV, price wise it kind of works out to what we pay for the lease plus fuel. That being said that price point is at the very tippy top of our budget, and it would have to be a 10+ year car to make the math work the right way.
  3. We have 18 months left on my wife's leased car, we wanted wait out the rollout of new EVs from other manufacturers. Prior to leasing we were looking fairly hard at the Tesla Y or X but decided to wait for additional competition in the SUV segment. Fast forward a year and my wife has flat out said she would not drive a Tesla; she wants to have zero association with Musk or any of his brands. It's an interesting turn as we got pretty close to pulling the trigger on one. From the current on market EVs she's very interested in the Rivian R1S, or something similar. Either way, I'm excited to see the additional competition from other manufacturers especially the legacy manufacturers.
  4. What I understand they expect the real issues to start with the World Cup. From what I've read it uses massive amounts of the servers and typically they have to use backup servers. I don't use twitter, but I am enjoying watching this.
  5. It was, and for the folks that stuck it out it was the cost to benefit for them. But that's what I meant when talking about an additional benefit for the work.
  6. I can't agree with this more. Before I worked for the fed, I worked as the CFO of a small business. I worked 60 hours a week minimum, I made more but saw my family and friends less. I took three months of leave to help with my FIL when he had pancreatic cancer. I realized that working for someone else and missing time was stupid. You get one run and **** that if I'm killing myself for someone else. I'm interested to see how this shakes out for Twitter.
  7. I agree with this, but early retirement with a defined pension is a definite additional benefit. That tradeoff is worth it to a lot of people.
  8. What's your definition of working hard? Is it working 40 hours and getting your projects completed, or is it expecting your employees to sleep in the office and work 60 hours a week? Because, It sounds to me like he wants people to commit to working over 40 hours without an additional benefit to the worker. That's ****ed up and people shouldn't sign on to that. Also, in my experience peoples work improves when you treat them respectfully and don't offer threats. You offer threats you get the minimum to complete the project and stay employed.
  9. This has started much better than I would have ever imagined. suck it Philly
  10. No clue, I think they would have pursued criminal, but they don't have jurisdiction since the team is not located in DC.
  11. This has settlement written all over it. Dan, Goodell and the NFL want no part of discovery or depositions. The NFL already has its hands full with the Gruden lawsuit.
  12. I would guess at that point they didn't want to push it more than they had to. It was easier to cover it up / not have a written report and hope the 24-hour news cycle moves beyond. But we have reached the diminishing returns point sometime this year. It's become more costly (PR / non-stop investigations) to have him stay, and they have made the business decision it would be worth the fallout to have him gone.
  13. I don't get the idea that people think this pushes Dan and the NFL closer. He's constantly exposing them to unnecessary risk, I would think that would drive them further apart.
  14. Naming the team is only the business. It's like suing Ford, you're not suing the guy on the line but the overall entity.
  15. From my understanding it's based on the fact they lied to protect their image and profits. The idea is that they defrauded the customers so they would spend money on the team and NFL. An interesting twist would be if they were able to connect the lies to try to get public financing for the stadium. By saying everything is great and Dan knew nothing they were committing fraud to gain favorable conditions from the states to build a stadium.
  16. The org. is being sued directly, as a separate entity. The liability falls onto it, it's also why the named Snyder directly. It doesn't allow him to hide behind the team, they are both subject to the proceedings and can both be found liable separately. If you buy the team before it is settled, you are accepting the risk level of the pending litigation.
  17. Steve is looking good. Hope they bring them back at least sporadically.
  18. I’m not a lawyer, but I believe you can buy the assets as is or with some type of control in place to reduce your exposure. Either way it’s not a good thing and I would believe complicate the sale but not necessarily impede it.
  19. This has to hurt the value of the team. You’re buying an organization that is now under civil litigation by an AG. This is bonkers.
  20. I would love to be Dan's crown sales rep right now. At this point he's probably brushing his teeth with it. First I've heard of that.
  21. Seems like the goal is to put more pressure on the NFL via Dan. That could be interesting.
  22. May not be criminal but the sexual harassment statement seems pretty damning and goes against everything he has said.
  23. I'm not sure they are, I think it's the loudest group in the room. This is purely anecdotal but the few Trump voters I know have washed their hands of him and have moved to Desantis. They think Trump is actively damaging his message and want him to step aside for Florida man. I'm hoping they attack each other nonstop and cause a rift between the two parties.
  24. Any popular pro sports team is a license to print money. Literally all you have to do, is not be a racist, or a raging asshole. You can be an asshole, just not a raging one. Hell, you can go get handys in a massage parlor. The bare minimum is just don't **** on your customers and all your employees all the time. Dan couldn't do that and now we all get to watch Rome burn. As my wife would say, what a douche canoe.
