I said early in if states had waited to point to an actually conviction of a related federal this might be a different conversation.

I stand by that, there'd be a more clear path then leaving it up to congress.

Which kind of pulls me back to the old, "If Merrick Garland had moved on these charges by summer of 2021, we wouldn't be in this predicament."

It still gives me rage that the J6 committee had to practically shame the DOJ into pursuing charges at all by doing their job for them.

This documentary on Netflix about the Octopus Murders is banaaaaanaas. If you like DC 80s era conspiracy stuff, it’s fantastic.

The brother of the journalist that got killed is the physician for the Commies. Used to see him on the sidelines when I was covering games.

I did watch it but it was a bit convoluted. So many tentacles that I couldn't really ingest what the actual "conspiracy" was.

Hallmark has an excellent time travel series, The Way Home. Currently airing second season at 9pm on Sundays.

A daughter falls thru a pond that takes her back to key event in her mom’s life. She keeps going back and even becomes besties with her young mom. Her mom even does the same thing going back , trying to find out what happened to her kid brother who went missing.  Season 2, it’s mostly the mom going back but this time to 1814 and she finds out what happened to her little brother.

LOVE time travel stuff. Will definitely check this out.

  4. I used to do cocaine about 3-5 times a year in my 20s-early 30s. Never got addicted and I don't know why, because I did like it a bit too much. I would not even know where to begin or who to call if I wanted some these days... and that's probably a really good thing.

If a country opens the gate on a drug like that, it won't take long before they have a problem on their hands.

Give it a couple episodes. Only 6 per season. They use the first 2 episodes to slowly set things up. Then things happen fast to wrap up.

Watched ep 1 last night. I believe I'm in. Thanks!

Anyone watch Bodies? Just finished the first episode and holy ****.

I've got a bit of a time travel fetish so I really enjoyed it. "Dark" was better if you like time travel but Bodies wasn't bad!

McCarthy talking is a dead giveaway that he's lying.  Of course that's true for much of the GOP.

Yeah there's no way on Earth that McCarthy was told that Trump wasn't eating. He told Cheney that because he wasn't brave enough to tell her he was going to Mar a Lago to kiss the ring.

That's fair. But if that's your mindset that we'll never be good, why even bother following the team?

It was sort of a joke but to answer your question: When you've been at something for 52 years (and was once glorious for more than a decade) it's not easy to drop it and walk off into the sunset. I love football and I have a team that plays in my proverbial backyard. Many MANY times I wanted to burn my gear and wipe my hands of this annual epic fail ... but with each new training camp I turn chump again.

When the Ravens came to Baltimore I could have jumped ship like a TON of local turds have done but that's just not in my DNA.

I became a Bullets fan, I think it was 5th or 6th grade when they drafted Juwan Howard and then traded for Chris Webber.

I was a fan all the way through jr high, high school, college and after college. The Wizards threads in here during the Arenas/Jamison/Butler/Hughes era were awesome.

I was excited when they drafted John Wall but sometime during that era my interest waned.

The sports teams I’ve followed through my life (Orioles, Redskins, Wizards) have been largely ****. I’ve watched countless amounts of bad baseball and awful football and yet I’ve always come back for more.

But there’s something about bad basketball that I just can’t stand to watch. I used to tune into practically every Wizards game I could, now if I watch three or four games a year that’s a lot.

For me, baseball, hockey, and basketball have WAY too many games to sit through a bad season. At least with football it's only once a week for 17 games.

  9. Fellow fans: I'm announcing my earliest "bail on the Wizards" in my entire history of watching the franchise. No way on Earth will I spend my winter agonizing over this turd.

Free yourselves NOW!! They won't deserve a minute of viewership or a single game ticket. It feels SO good to let it go in mid-November, knowing I'll have a much better Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, and Spring.

I'm 57 years old. I've followed the team loyally since I was 6, so there's certainly no feelings of guilt over not being a "true fan" in 2023-2024. They're dog poop. No false hope from a short win streak, no accepting them as a "work in progress," even though I do understand that it's exactly what they are. You blow a 23 point lead and you lose me for the year. There will be PUH-LENTY more blown leads just like last night and it's simply too pathetic to witness.

See you in the Fall of '24!... maybe. (HUGE sigh of relief......)

I was just reading about his testimony. Sounds like the judge basically wussed out. He tried to stop Trump from rambling and refusing to answer questions then just gave up.

Why not warn him that he'll be found in contempt and then enforce it if/when he continues? Throw his ass in jail for a few days.

    Drives me nuts.

Judge: I've had about enough of your antics, Mr. Trump. The next time you defy a gag order or have a meltdown in my courtroom, I'll massage your back and dismiss your case!!

Part of the issue is they play a ton for linemen. Teams like the Eagles are religious about how they rotate their tackles and ends to keep them fresh. With our depth, we can do the same. I don’t know why we don’t

Yes sir!! I was telling someone the same thing recently. Dead legs are dead legs no matter where they were drafted. Mix it up a bit.

Define special. They are definitely better than just solid run stoppers. Neither are Chris Jones level(but nobody is). But they are both fantastic players. Interior DTs in general just aren't as consistently impactful as other positions.

Absolutely fair reply and what you said is not lost on me. I suppose I just expect more from 2 guys that are supposed to be true cornerstones of our defense. I just feel like we wouldn't be any worse w/o them, because if we'd be "worse" then apparently there's no bottom. 🙂

You don’t need two guys of that caliber to win in the NFL especially when you have the interior guys we have. Last season showed that

About those interior guys: Are they really so special? Solid run stoppers, yes, and that's important for sure... but are they giving us any consistent QB pressure at all?

All the talk is about Young and Sweat not living up to their hype but quite honestly I don't see where Allen and Payne are "elite" or "top tier" in any way. Defensive lines with a lot less fanfare are doing a heck of a lot more damage than ours. I see about one nice quarter or half from Payne every 3rd or 4th game and for all of Jon's "I'm sick of this (blank)," I really never notice how he makes a huge contribution.

I get that interior linemen do a lot of unrecognized work. I really do. But interior linemen for other teams (especially our opponents) make big splashy plays and sack QBs almost every week. Practically ZILCHO from these two.
