We may end up with the 1st pick in the draft after all.
Not with Carolina on patrol.

Does JD know how to slide, no I don’t mean head first.
Studies are coming out in coaching circles that the dive is statistically safer than the slide. The slide exposes the head and chest and often creates head to surface trauma.

Wylie still sucks
What? No. Haven’t you been here? People said we were overly harsh on him and he’s actually good.

No, the scary part is that those are only the code red spots we already KNOW aboutYou have to be a blast at parties

The scary part is that OT, Edge and Corner are all code red spots for us.

I’m not done but I’m also not getting my hopes up.
Having expectations for this team to be anything other than a work in progress is a mistake. I certainly reason for optimism… but…

I don’t know what’s funnier… our start or those of you who are already posting, “I’M DONE!” and still participating here afterwards.

Baker bailed us out there.
Early season rust
I’m sorry, who bailed us out?
The ball hit the receiver in the hands.

McCaffrey being #2 on an unofficial depth chart doesn’t mean a whole lot. He might be. He might not be. We’ll find out Sunday.

He hard starts at both positions in college
Charles was our starting LG. And Stromberg was ahead of Paul. Although that might have been partly to trauma. When you get to your 4th string center the previous year a C/G may seem more important than a G/T
I am fully aware of where he played in college.
I am saying he was never a guard and was but there by necessity. He was a pure center.
-
Stromberg is a center. He’s never been a guard. Playing him there was stupid.
This year we upgraded at C and Stromberg was lost in the sauce.
He should have been cut.
But he was also mismanaged. Add him to the list.

I doubt anyone thinks we're in good shape at WR. It certainly needs improvement.
I just don't think it's going to be a big issue. Most of our offense is going to be a quick game, focused on YAC and ground game, but we have guys that can get behind the defense as well.
It's just not a situation to panic. Some posters seem almost hysterical about it.
I mean, I don’t think we should panic because this team was never supposed to be good this year. If we are, that’s a bonus. Rome took awhile to build. -

for....Houston....right??
Of course.
As an aside: Noah Brown makes us better. No doubt.
I just don’t see how people look at our receivers and think it’s a unit in good shape. Can it be serviceable? Sure. But they won’t be a group that when the game is on the line over and over again… they won’t be the ones to routinely answer the bell. Aside from 17

Houston’s WR8 is Washington’s WR2. That should signal an alarm bell.

Travis Hunter is special, man. But he will need to be one or the other in the NFL. He can do a little of both with special packages, but there isn’t enough time in the day to be NFL prepared for “full time” work on both sides (even if his snaps are managed to equate to a regular game).
Unless his position on either side is “dumbed” down enough to make it easier. And for the record… in the right situation that COULD be a thing.
if we need a hard nosed flexible slot/X (but mostly a slot I think) look no further than my dude Xavier Restrepo from The []_[].
I’d avoid almost everyone from Florida, though. Yikes.

The PFF thing is easy.
It doesn’t paint a full picture.
That is all. That’s it. It’s great in conjunction with film.

Ill play along. Maybe Aiyuk's drama (which comes with him) was unnecessary before we got Noah. I'd guess AP wants no part of that drama. I'd trust his judgement on what he deems unnecessary. If Noah Brown can stay healthy we may all see the best explanation play out in real time. Or Dyami progresses further as a possession receiver we saw flashes of. Or maybe TMC has a MONSTER year. Ertz stays health. Austin embraces his role of a hands back and becomes JD5s best friend. Sorry Sinnot.
Can someone explain why Aiyuk IS necessary?
I don’t think Aiyuk is necessary… I think a high end receiver is necessary.
My point is… Noah Brown doesn’t negate that need. He was literally the Texans 7th/8th receiver.
Noah Brown certainly HELPS our room. But it doesn’t change the fact that we still need a high end talent to pair with Terry.

Can someone explain how Noah Brown can possibly make Aiyuk unnecessary?

I always found it interesting when people would anticipate cut down day in the hopes of landing talent.
You build through the draft first and then free agency.
Picking up another teams cut isn’t going to do much for you and rarely if ever will a big name who can help get cut.
hey… Noah Brown was Houston’s WR8.
that qualifies him to be our WR2.

I’m expecting 50 ish catches for 600 yards territory. That’s more #3 than #2 numbers. I think the running backs are going to catch a ton of balls, TEs as well.
I think it’s Terry in the 70-80 Rec, 1100ish yards category…
Then Brown/Brown in the 30-40 rec and 300-500 yard category
Oz with 30 for 400ish.
Ertz will have about 500
Sinnott will have 400ish.
Backs will combine for about 1k
Jayden will throw for about 4k yards if healthy.
This is all very made up. And I’m okay with making this up.

The only way that joke isn't funny, is if you think those three guys have value, despite being shopped for a day 3 picks as a long shot. Turner and Stromberg are fringe PS players on just about every roster.
It’s not funny because there are people who think that could be true - I do not. I laughed because I thought the guy was serious, not because the guy is a comedian.

Jamin is a perfect 3-4 OLB/quick end type of player. Glad he’s playing there.
