  1. I normally don't like trading up, but Fields is so absurdly talented that - if he slides to 8-10, definitely make a serious offer.
  2. I don't think so, but... if you trade down to 25, there's a good chance that either he or Moehrig will be there, so trade down is my suggestion.
  3. I think they trade down several spots in the 1st round, and use whatever they get in that trade to move up in the second round to grab whoever's left from Harris/Etienne/Williams.
  4. My gut feeling is they don't like any of the available OLinemen enough to pick at 19, and they trade down to about 25 and pick one of the LBers.
  5. Say there pick comes down to either Zaven Collins or Jamin Davis, who do they pick?
  6. I like it. He hasn't done much as a receiver in the NFL, and he's only 5'8, but he was super-productive at Cal State and came close to setting some Big Sky conference records. He could be a Jamison Crowder type if given a chance. He's caught 34 of the 41 passes targeted to him in the NFL. 4.44 40 and very quick. And should be much more dependable than Simms as a kick returner.
  7. Ftizpatrick could be one of those rare players that plays well into their 40's. He hasn't had a ton of wear and tear being a part-time starter, he's coming off a very fine year for him, he's a big strong guy, and hopefully he'll be playing on a good pass-blocking team this season that has a running game to help his play-action pass game.
  8. Still, he does get called for a lot of penalties at RT - led the NFL in 2018 - maybe because he played hurt a lot?
  9. Call me crazy but... If they don't draft a LT in the 1st 2 rounds, I'd consider moving Moses there. When he switched there last season due to injuries, I thought he played his best games there. Maybe he's the kind of player that thrives on that kind of challenge. Or maybe I wasn't watching close enough, and I'm overrating his play at LT.
  10. It might be a good idea to use one of our middle round picks on a guard who can be developed to replace Scherff in 2022.
  11. And this doesn't necessarily stop them from making a move in the draft for a QB. Or maybe they have an eye on a 3rd round type with potential to develop - like Dallas did with Dak (who was actually a 4th rounder).
  12. I disagree with most of what was said there. Payne is at least as good as Allen. He's our top run defender, and he showed in the playoffs what he can do as an up the middle pass rusher. Ion's 27 - that's hardly old. There's no reason to expect him to get another injury like last season's. And he's perfectly fine against the run. He was graded their top D-lineman in 2019. Settle is too good to be kept on the bench - I think that's obvious.
  13. What's irritating is that some are so dismissive of trading DTs when we have 4 outstanding DTs and can't play them all as much as they deserve to play unless there are injuries. And Allen is the ONLY one I hear being suggested as a trade option - which is because he's making a ton of money and will be a UFA after this season. Nobody's saying to give him away, but considering all the holes we have elsewhere, it obviously makes sense to consider trading him if we get a good offer for him. If we don't get a good offer, then keep him.
