  3. @tshile Unfortunately the "not Democrat" party supports racist policies. Whether this is explicit or implicit via disparate impacts is up to the beholder. The problem is no viable 3rd/4th/5th parties. That would be too many politicsal parties to bribe. Also the traditional "fiscal conservative" has no party. I don't even want to accept the current political system. Too many premises go unchallenged... ie "Let's enact judges who will overturn Roe v. Wade." That premise should be laughed at but one party uses it as a central plank. "Tax cuts for t

  4. Using a race argument to put your argument on some artificial high horse is both wild and ridiculous.

  5. Not “conservative”, but Republican. In the last decade or more the GOP has become the anti-party. Anti-science, anti-intellectual, anti-immigration, anti-just about everything including many American ideals. Speaking personally I would comfortably vote for a centrist or center right politician on many issues. I’m like many of my peers ... fortunate older white folks who are fiscally conservative, socially liberal. But I am so far from the current GOP and at this point believe they need to be destroyed and their lands salted. I am not politically active but have b

  6. Wow, we are stooping to blaming his cancer for benching Haskins now. New lows.

  7. The hypocrisy of the anti-abortion group seems to know no bounds. "You can't do that!" they scream for decades! Then the feckless bunker boy uses a drug as a result of said "You can't do that!" research and they can't wait to make it acceptable. Nothing but a bunch a ****ing idiots. Absolutely pathetic.

  8. This is going to be a longish post, so forgive me. But I hope this post makes you guys see where I'm coming from. You won't agree, you are dug into the Haskins stance just as I am the opposite. I'm not looking to bring peace and harmony. What I am doing with this post is making sure you guys fully understand where I (and I think a LOT of others) are coming from. Despite your post, Irep, I am NOT being contrarian. I have been consistent in my stances across the board. Let's start with square 1. The 2018 season ends and it's obvious we're going to need a quarterback movin

  9. I don't think most coaches (especially NFL level ones) would find those terms subjective at all. They've been around QBs with the right preparation and work habits and ones without. In the NFL the guys who end up being great almost always have that crazy commitment, attention to detail, and work ethic. And I don't see why that has to do with whether he's white or black. There have been plenty of white QBs who have busted because they had ****ty work ethic and preparation habits. I was for giving Haskins this season, but it is what it is. Rivera apparently had seen eno

  10. The only problem with their position is that if they had their way, this treatment likely wouldn’t exist at all. Well, our votes are in the bag. We got there around 7:30 and there was already a line of a hundred or so people. It took us about two hours to get in. When we left, the line snaked all the way around the parking lot on the left side of the picture below and out to the sidewalk. Go to hell Tя☭mp. Go directly to hell. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Go directly to hell.

  11. I live pretty close to that polling place. I was going to vote by mail, but given our scumbag governor's propensity to cheat in elections, I plan to vote early instead.

  12. It's all the stuff that some people here dismiss. A. don't have your agent trash the team B. work harder C. Don't be smug in the locker room when your team gets crushed It's convienient to dismiss it all by defining them as evil leaks or they are just making things up about Haskins for kicks. The irony is then so did the previous regime. So did some in the national media. So did some of the draft geeks before that draft. So did the Ohio State reporter who I mentioned. You got a lot of dudes apparently in on this conspiracy to falsely define Haskins' int

  14. I don't think anyone worth listening to is denying that Haskins ultimately got as raw a deal as you can get as a first round QB. But at the same time the possibility remains that he did not do what Ron wanted him to do to keep the job. both things can be true.

  16. I appreciate your attempt to defuse the situation with humor, but @goskins10's posts are the FINAL STRAW! I was going to vote for Biden, but now I have no choice. I'M VOTING FOR TRUMP. Don't blame me... @goskins10forced me to do this. Now to set up a Twitter account. I need to share this with the world!

  17. This was going to be my question as well. I realize that a conservative person may not agree with many of Biden's policies but I just can't get how someone can look at the absolute dumpster-fire-on-board-a-train-wreck that is the Trump admin and not hold their nose and vote for something they may not agree with but at least isn't absolutely repugnant in pretty much every way imaginable. I disagreed with almost all of W's policies but if it were between him and Trump right now I'd crawl through broken glass to vote for him.

  18. Small sample size but lol i guess Allen is PFF's best rated QB among our guys and by a good margin. Alex joined Haskins in the abysmal 40s rated club. Now can Allen keep it going? . I am not an Allen guy but I don't think PFF is wildly off, he looked ok in his short stint, crisper than Haskins. Does that last, you got me. I'd bet we are fishing for QBs in the off season. I'd also bet Allen ends up a career backup and ditto Dwayne Haskins somewhere else. But will see.

  19. Lost in the recent years of “everything conservative is racist” is the fact that there are plenty of people, that are not racist, that do not want the Democrat’s platform. I think it’s important to not lose sight of that. Simply declaring everyone who disagrees with your political ideology as racist creates some huge blind spots and I don’t think it’s a good long term strategy.

  20. Haskins got gifted the chance and pissed that opportunity away with an unprofessional attitude. He deserved to be canned. However, I said this last week, Rivera’s overall handing of the team is questionable at best right now. He’s now backed himself into a difficult corner. Plenty of blame to be shared around here.

  21. Yall are also playing this game like 6-10 cant win this division and we wont be playing the cowboys twice, the giants twice and the eagles one more time. We can be rebuilding, still try and win, and Haskins not be the guy. All of that is not only possible but is reasonable. If you have a coach that looks up at week 4 and the entire division is 1-3 and he doesnt think he can win it, then he shouldnt be the coach lol Yall are playing with real funny money right now. Its dumb to act like you know exactly whats happening and other people are blind when no one on this board

  26. Let's not forget that before he got inserted into that game, it had been TWO YEARS since he faced live action on a football field. Anybody judging his decision-making ability based on that relief role yesterday is - to put it politely - misguided.

  28. I enjoyed my 15 minutes of fame so much last week that I have decided to give it another go. Up this week is a home game against the LA Rams which means that Sean McVay returns to face a Haskins-less Washington. I'm a bit of a nerd so I'll probably post the results a few days after the game and maybe do a ES prediction league table. 32. His arm strength? Yes. His accuracy? Probably pretty even. Overall I'd say a quarterback's strongest trait is his mind. Not necessarily intelligence, but how quick they can diagnose and make a decision. Allen is better at that. Haskins is better at snapping the ball in and has a quicker release and less turnover prone. Allen is more mobile and better at creating off schedule. Really, the two are similar. Behind this line both have some strengths, both have severe limitations. Different skill sets but pretty close in effectiveness unless Allen ha

  33. I would go with “the GOP and Mitch McConnell are the ones packing the court with their refusal to give Merrick Garland a hearing for more than a year before an election and now forcing through a nominee in record time less than one month from an election. So we’ll see what they do and we’ll respond as we feel is appropriate to reflect the will of the American people.”
