  1. This was the moment when we all should have known what we were in for and what he is all about.

  5. Regardless of what you think about his play or if we could/should play him, there should be no doubt the MASSIVE accomplishment it is for Alex to take the field again. Hats off to him.

  6. Forgetting the QB play for a second, how disappointing was the DL? I know Ion is out, but last I checked we still have not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE first round picks up there and we couldn't even sniff Goff's jock strap on 99% of his drop backs. What an embarassment. I know the Rams OL is good but for how much we've invested in the DL, they need to start carrying the team more. In fact I'll go out and even say that thus far this year they've been the most disappointing unit on the team considering how much better we thought they'd be. They've basically only domin

  7. And the criticism of Haskins is all correct. Both things can be and are true.

  8. The halftime speech was nice, I think we all viewed that as a sign that he had matured and was ready to step up and be a leader. But that's just one example of goodness surrounded by many other anecdotes that don't paint that picture. It's apparent that he's an immature guy and that he has issues that extend past not being able to hit a running back in the flat that's about 5 yards away. I know everyone here hates Grant Paulsen, but the stat bragging thing is obnoxious, and the hate for Grant Paulsen doesn't invalidate this, if true. Grant is a lot of things, I don't

  9. Your question makes my point. Every successful organization wouldn't be in this position in the first place. You dont read about hey John Schneider didn't like this QB in the draft, and ditto Pete Carroll. Yet, Paul Allen fell in love with the Qb that his football people didn't want and drafted him. It would be absurd, right? Maybe a bit crazy. Rooney fell in love with a QB his FO didn't care for? I am laughing as I type that, crazy sceanrio, it just doesn't happen. That stuff doesn't happen with winning organizations. You want to talk about losing cultures. The

  14. For over a 100 years since since the civil war, the Senate has, without fail, confirmed Supreme Court Justices nominated by the sitting President during election years. Five times by president of the same party. Three times by president of the opposite party. In 2016, Mitch McConnell and the Republican senators broke that long standing tradition for a naked and blatant power grab and now shows their true colors by affirming that the McConnell rule that blocked Judge Garland's nomination is only applicable if it suits them. If we need to revert to adjusting the structure of the federal judi

  15. Today's game proved why placing so much blame on Haskins last week was a weak loser move. How do you claim a player is holding the offense back and then have the worst offensive game in 50 years? This is exactly why I said Rivera should have been telling the TEAM to focus on their jobs instead of throwing Haskins under the bus. The last thing you give a bad football team is a scapegoat. We need all our players to look in the mirror.

  21. Your head coach is battling cancer and getting aggressive treatment and he shows up without complaint. Gets IVs at halftime when necessary. You are getting paid millions by the team who invested a first round pick in you and you pout like a baby and say you have an ouchie in your tummy so you’re staying home? That’s your level of commitment to professionalism and your craft? Just mind boggling.

  22. As far as i can tell, one of the primary symptoms is opening one's mouth and loudly expelling and spewing thousands of infectious and potentially dangerous particles into the air. I have no idea how they were ever able to tell he had it in the first place. ~Bang

  23. Testing negative twice is the standard at my daughters school for students that contract the virus and seek to return. Her classmates, those attending class in person anyway, are not risking the entire power structure of our government and military by showing up. Why is it that they be required to do this, but the POTUS can simply be declared safe without a single negative test? We don’t know when his last negative test was because the answer currently makes Trump look bad. It means he either wasn’t getting tested as often as was claimed, or he failed a test and behaved irrespons

  24. You're part of it too, man. But hey, if people are "simps" because they think your initial scouting report on Haskins wasn't correct and your continued support is wrong... And you disagree with them, that's cool too. I won't be calling anyone any names for their opinions. Just watching from over here wondering how disagreeing on a prospect makes anyone a "simp"... I thought that was a thing that guys did to gas up their woman but makes them look like a chump. My age is showing I think.

  25. He was 9/13 for 74 yards and he made a play with his legs for a TD, he played 28 minutes and you're crushing him. Have we had a lead in the first quarter all year?

  26. Every week I find myself watching different games than a lot of folks here. Smith looked really, really bad. He was inspirational. He added a small spark which lasted about 5 minutes in game time. And that was it. He couldn't elude pressure, he couldn't throw the ball down field other than the one attempt to McLaurin and his release simply isn't quick enough with an OL this porous. I have not flipped my feelings on Haskins, but denying that Smith looked bad and that both Haskins and Allen... and maybe even Montez... give this offense a better chance at success is a toug

  30. Well, yes. It's the same throws. Because of the cast. But most people weren't saying that was Haskins flaw, so what narrative are you running with? It's beyond annoying to see a group of three of you ONLY post about Haskins related content. How about getting behind a guy who almost had to have his leg amputated? Or is that too hard for people to do because they have ego in play? Think on it a little.

  36. If Smith starts, and Allen is healthy, I don't know what Rivera is thinking. Smith isn't a win now move. Not with this offense. He is a guy that can make a decent team look good with decisions. He isn't a guy that can make a bad team look good. And never has been. That's never been his MO. I love Smith. I liked him a lot when he became the QB (His trade cost and contract weren't good, but the player itself I loved). I think he lifted the talent on that team. But for this team, next week, I'd rather see Steven Montez than Alex Smith starting under center.
