  1. Wife and kids are asleep. I am literally sneaking out of my own ****ing house to participate in the RBG memorial.

  2. This is a far better system than waiting until someone dies. And when one party has openly lied about the norms and conventions required for appointing justices. “death of democracy” is peachy. There is currently a buffoon who spends every morning undermining the integrity of our voting system because he thinks he will lose. And he has an entire party backing him unconditionally on his march to eroding all civic norms and degrading every institution that checks his power. Go pound sand.

  5. For Dems, the time for decency is over. You have to get nasty and sling mud. You have to make her death political. If they ram this justice through, make them pay. Generations are on the line.

  6. Off of the success of week 1's "What do you want to see" thread, I'm going to try it again! If this thread doesn't get traction, I'll stop posting them. But I think the comments in last week's thread were really thoughtful overall. Last week, we had no idea what to expect. We had seen no pre-season games, just glimpses of practice, and reports of this and that. And then we saw a pretty outstanding defensive effort for 3 quarters, and some progress on offense. So, I ask thee, my fellow ExtremeSkins members, what's next ? Building off of last week's big win, what

My grandson is a yellow belt, and both of my granddaughters are absolutely killing it in softball. This is my oldest girl, the tomboy just like me.

  9. Guy who got almost 3 million less votes gets to appoint the most lifetime judges ever and 1/3 of the supreme court. This system is so broken that this country is toast without major, structure changing reforms. Incremental, play-nice steps won't work anymore

  11. All the GOP has to do is follow it’s own rule that it made up 4 years ago. If not, then **** rules, if the Dems win the Senate, do whatever needs to be done.

  12. My wife made a donation of $100 to get Mitch out of office last night. She is really bothered by this as I am. After talking about it this morning, we are donating $400 more. Her passing has lit a fire under our butts that should have already been there. We are on a mission the next several weeks and a real possibility that we go way beyond.

  14. This is the answer. Every Dem in Washington needs to tell that greasy, hypocritical rat **** McConnel that if he tries to ram a nomination through, if Biden wins and the Dems capture the Senate, they will expand the court and pack it with fire-breathing liberals There's plenty of historical precedent for a variable number of Supreme Court justices. The number of judges isnt set constitutionally, but via federal law instead. I'm sick of one side playing by unwritten rules, and the other side ****ting all over them.

  16. Adding more justices and expanding the Senate by giving American citizens congressional representation that they currently lack is also playing by the rules. The GOP has been bending and altering the “rules” all over the country to subvert democracy. From packing Supreme Courts at the state level, to neutering the powers of incoming governors to gerrymandering Congressional districts to pointlessly removing cabinet members of Democratic governors. It’s a clown argument that restoring integrity to our institutions is bending the rules. The rules have been bent and rat ****ed

  20. - Continued dominating DLine play...make an undeniable case that the Eagles' injuries on their OLine were NOT the main reason our DLine looked so ferocious. - Defense imits the amount of damage Murray does with his legs to far less than what he did last week. - A stronger start offensively--a TD on the first drive would be excellent. - No offensive or special teams turnovers, and to win the turnover battle. - At least 2 or 3 offensive drives that are 6+ minutes long. - Fewer 3-and-outs than the Cardinals. - At least 3 runs that are longer than 12 yards. - Def

  21. Yeah, it’s a little disingenuous to sit idly by and be fine with the GOP blocking every judicial nominee they possibly could while Obama was president and then sound the alarm blaming the Democrats for destroying democracy if they decide to addTwo justices to the Supreme Court.

  22. I disagree. Electoral College is fine in theory, the execution needs to change, however. If, as stated in the post you quoted, the House grows in size (as it was originally supposed to), it will help to fix the proportions of voting power for the states. Another change that I think could be big is an amendment to require a proportional apportionment of electoral votes. Either by percentage of State popular vote, or by district, and then the two senate votes goes to the overall winner of the state. With those two changes, the balance of power will tilt more in the favor of total

  23. It would be better if the Senate un-does the nuclear option. The question would be if the other party can restrain their political power if they get a majority. GOP act like "nanannana... Reid did it first, this is what Reid did." Also if the President has so much power they should be elected by a straight popular vote. Bush got some SC Justices and Trump will have 3 without the popular vote. How is that "representative". The Senate needs to be a politically moderating force in the country as it was intended. A place where compromise is necessary to

  24. I emptied my wallet to every Senate candidate in a competitive race. The only play here is that McConnell can take the short term win and if the GOP loses the Senate and WH, all of those wins are nullified AND we get four new Senators from DC and Puerto Rico.

  26. "A little bit" is the operative word in this sentence. I don't think this came through. Some of the offense was a little bit more dynamic a little later in the game, but I was fairly underwhelmed You got these two things in spades. I think a little improvement in just managing the game pretty well. but a lot of room for growth. Yep. Didn't see that. Would like to. Our LBs weren't very good. This is a concern. I have no depth perception. It might be better than Troy Apke's. They

  27. I was just going to say this. If Biden wins, expand the whole judiciary branch. Fight fire with fire. Expand the SC to 11 justices and fill it with liberal justices. Expand the federal judges from 70 to 100. It's the only way you can fight the other judges Mitch pushed through.

  29. It should not. If the Federal Government believes TikTok is providing data to Chinese authorities that causes it to be a security risk they could either ban it outright or require it to be managed by a US entity. But the act of requiring a US owner does not mean the Government deserves a fee for being a matchmaker. That is unprecedented.

  30. Trump isn't packing the courts. Skippy and the Federalist Society are. If Trump were picking he'd be interviewing the candidates live in prime time, asking them to swim through Jello for the cameras, Holding a swimsuit competition for their wives, and the nominees would include Jarred and Bill Barr.

  31. Uhh, no. That would have just left more seats open for Tя☭mp to fill. It was a cynical abuse of power. The only way the Dems are going to reverse this is to do something similar. Ditto for the next Dem POTUS. If we don’t do the same things they’ve done, they’ll just continue to give the middle finger to the system while we continue to play by the rules, gaining an ever growing advantage over time. The only way they decide this kind of thing won’t work is for the Dems to essentially threaten to tear the whole thing down by using the same kind of partisan abuses of power. I’m ready to look the o

  32. so your main argument is that its not bad because hes just going by the rules. my argument is that the current rules aren't setup to properly represent America, and that's why they need to change. Of course he's ALLOWED to appoint as many justices as he wants, but if you think its RIGHT that a guy that got less votes can control 1/3 of the most powerful court in the country, then I think our conversation is over.

  34. I get that the Eagles had injuries on the Oline, but they still had an All Pro at C and a future HoFer at LT. Their Line with injuries is better than the Cards and they are without their Center. Payne, Allen and Iaon are going to love that. The Eagles Defense is also a much better defense than the Cards.

  35. Let them ram through his nominee. If Joe wins, he should expand the SC to at least 11 justices and expand the federal judges too. Also if and when the Dems win the Senate, nix the filibuster. They have to fight fire with fire now. Threaten Mitch and call his bluff. He will go through with it, and everything he worked for in 3+ years I would burn it all down if I was the Dems.

  37. I have very low expectations but if the Dems take the Senate, they should appoint a minimum of three justices and end the filibuster. Statehood for Puerto Rico and DC. Add four Senators. Do they have the fortitude for this? Probably not. But it’s the only response to the GOP lying and cheating it’s way to power over the past decade.
