When Prince died, he was taking counterfeit Vicodin pills.

They had fentanyl in them. Unknown how he got them. Prince then died from a fentanyl overdose.

“In all likelihood, Prince had no idea he was taking a counterfeit pill that could kill him,” said County Carver attorney.
