    2019 Comprehensive Draft Thread

The Giants can't be that stupid... To be honest. If we find a good QB in this years or next years draft...we kinda have the upper hand. Jones is not a good QB prospect and Wentz & Prescott will kill cap room for the other two teams. But yeah. Been to long a Redskins fan to really believe that

    2019 Comprehensive Draft Thread

Just listened to Cooley's podcast with Keim on it. Some tidbits Cooley doubled down on liking Hockenson and Marquise Brown. Though agreed with Keim that a pass rusher would be good at 15. He seemed to like Burns but didn't elaborate on it. He likes Devin Bush as does Keim and they talked about how Dallas' defense was transformed with having 2 stud MLBs. Cooley likes the idea of having 2 fast MLBs in their 3-4. Cooley also doubled down much harder on not liking Noah Fant. He has said in a previous podcast that he's overrated and thinks he's really raw. As for another receiver Cooley liked he mentioned AJ Brown but doesn't like him to the degree that he likes Marquise Brown. He doubled down on not taking Metcalf until the 2nd round, he thinks he's too raw to be in the first. Keim doesn't think they take a QB but wouldn't be stunned if they took Daniel Jones at 15. And hinted for the 2nd time they like Jones better than Drew Lock. That stemmed off Cooley saying he doesn't think Jones has it in him to be an upper half of the league QB but he wouldn't be surprised that of all the QBs in this draft he'd be the most pro ready for this season. Keim doubled down that pro ready is the be all and end all for them this draft. Cooley said he likes Cody Ford and really likes Risner but doesn't want to take a guard in the first round. He said Risner is his fav player in the draft. Keim agreed as to no guard in the first round. Cooley doubled down on Flowers won't cut it at LG. From a Keim article today All of these thoughts frame the way Washington will approach the draft and what it's looking to build. Gruden has a vision; it started to become a reality last season but only for a short time. They need it for 16 games. "We received the opening kickoff, we get two or three first downs, we chew up some clock, we punt it, we back them up, we get the ball back, we play field position and we win games 20-17 or 23-16," he said. "It was a great recipe for us early. I like playing that way."
  5. I disagree. They had 2 years to brainstorm the top 5 likely outcomes and have a strategy for moving forward with each one. Also, the Mueller report clearly makes the case for obstruction. Them waiting shows a lack of ability to act quickly and decisively with an issue that is presented. Not exactly a good quality in my opinion, especially for candidates for president.
  6. Infinity War was terrible. It is made for the ADD generation and was all over the place with no cohesion until WOW, all of a sudden everyone is together! I agree about Winter Soldier - that movie completely caught me off guard as to how much I liked it. I'm not a Marvel mark anymore though and can't stand comic book movies anymore, they completely have oversaturated the market with them. I also agree about Bumblbee. That movie was fantastic. It was clearly geared more in a 'kiddy' manner but I was okay with that and just all around enjoyed the **** out of it. I agree too that after seeing that it makes you think about how good earlier movies could have been if done in that fashion. It also makes me want a Transformers movie that takes place in Cybertron or space and focuses on the Transformers and not humans. Those scenes in the movie were great. The Silence - 4/10 - snooze fest that I was hoping would be better but A Quiet Place is much better than this movie. The little creatures were pretty cool though. The acting was so bad in a lot of it though and just all around the plot was silly and not much happened, with some huge cliches. The saving grace was it was only 90 minutes long.

Nothing? Didn’t their keeper bounce a ball off one of their defenders to gift you a win a couple of weeks ago. Ungreatful.
  11. I’m in the opposite camp. I would hope the adult leadership would take their time, absorb the actual report (not just the headlines or their preconceived assumptions of what might be in the report) and carefully consider their options. This is too important to do it off the cuff, and there are a lot of different things to consider and a lot of people that need to have input. I don’t see a ton of benefit to doing something quickly over doing it strategically. Also, can we maybe not falsely equate the 72 hours since the report was released to 13 years? Everyone needs to take a deep breath and remember that people thrive on twitter because their thoughts fit into 280 characters and often much less. Edit: also, it “blows” you?

Reuben Foster Will Not Be Suspended!!

It seems fairly illogical to be against this move at this point. We got him for nothing. I wasnt a fan of drafting him in the first round, but to grab this talent at little compensation makes sense. If it doesn't work out, we lose nothing.

The 2012 draft is on NFL network, oh the memories. The fans there were wild, we were all so excited lol.

Also would prevent the Redskins, from whatever chance there is/was, from making the foolish moving of selecting Jones at 15. If the team did that, I think I'd just have to walk away for two years while the team just sucks and goes nowhere. It's arguably worse than when the Vikings took Christian Ponder at #12. You know its not going to work, you know people are going to get fired, and it's going to set back the franchise years. Added bonus of watching it happen to the Giants, who seems to be an absolute dumpster fire right now.
  19. @bedlamVR and the lions are on the clock. @goskins10 and the falcons are on deck.
  20. Vrana Kuzy and hags on second line tonight. That’s a lot of speed

Christmas would come early if the Giants take Jones at #6. That would significantly increase the odds an elite edge or other player we like drop to #15.
  22. I don't, at least not at a rate that completely destabilizes our country. We're probably the only country that has the framework to keep that from getting out of control, and most people are used to their side losing on going about their merry way until the next election, unlike a lot of other countries. This isn't some third-world country that completely flips off whenever their guy loses.
  23. In 2010, when the Caps lost to Montreal in the first round, the Eastern Conference finals were the 7 and 8 seeds. In 2012, the teams in the SCF were an 8 and 6 seed from their respective conferences. Last year was really the exception to the rule when 3 division winners and a team that finished 2nd in their division were in the conference finals. First goal has won every game so far
  24. No, it is my speak for those that buy it after what the Dems have been selling. I could use more unflattering terms
  25. The Buffalo Bill Select our favorite prospect, one we doubt would have been drafted here, but we need on the official draft record: Kaden Elliss Son of Luther Elliss, the 20th overall pick in the 1995 (Brian Thure) draft

    What do you Believe??? (Religion)

That is true. Though, someone who has real faith would follow the Fathers commandments most likely. But the Bible is pretty clear no one is good enough on their own.
