  1. Past hour
  2. Tbf, Lieberman was a major proponent of the MAGA funded No Labels party. He also was a huge fan of Betsy Devos. And he's one of the reasons we don't have the public option in the ACA. That's a little bit more than being a maverick Drmocrat for some to stomach.
  3. Agree. They want to see how he interacts with his teammates and how he carries himself during the workout more than anything else. Having a cannon and ripping 50 yarders on a rope is quite a bonus though.
  4. 3 months later and I'm pretty happy with my gut reaction. Couple updates: Williams - Not really an update. Same as my initial take: if you are sitting with a chance to draft him you need to be absolutely 100% certain you can get him to work within your offense while still giving him the flexibility to be creative and make plays. If he can do that he will be one of the best QBs in the NFL. The talent is enough that you cannot pass on him though. Maye- footwork needs to be improved. This should be coachable. He has a chance to be a top 10 QB, maybe top 5. Daniels - I like Daniels a lot more as a passer now after I've had some more time to watch him. His body type and propensity to take huge hits is a big knock for me. Massive boom/bust risk. McCarthy- I still think of him as a more athletic Kirk Cousins. I think he'll be really good. Day 1 starter would not be doing him any favors though. If I were considering drafting him, I would prefer the option of having him sit initially, just to get accustomed to the offense being throwing him into the fire given how little he was asked to carry the offense in college. I think all four QBs go in the top 5. Any of these guys could have been a #1 overall pick in a different year.
  5. I think ads even now can make a difference. Now, I do strongly believe that money needs to go to PACs that solely push ads to attack the orange water balloon without mentioning Biden. The adultering, the stealing from charities, the worst **** there is about him. As far as Hispanic and AA voters and polling. I don't know.
  6. Democratic House member from NJ is introducing a bill for the protection of our classified information from those charged with specific crimes. I agree with this bill. From the article and the link below that. New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D) has drafted legislation to bar federal officeholders and candidates who are charged with certain criminal offenses from having access to classified information, a bill aimed squarely at former President Trump and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.). Sherrill’s three-page bill, the Guarding United States Against Reckless Disclosures (GUARD) Act, would bar the president, vice president, members of Congress and federal candidates from receiving classified information if charged with obstructing an official proceeding, unlawfully retaining classified defense information, or acting as a foreign agent, among other criminal offenses. The legislation doesn’t explicitly refer to Menendez or Trump, but its language applies directly to both embattled politicians, who between them face 109 criminal charges. Both have pleaded not guilty. Sherrill didn’t mention Menendez in a statement Thursday but said she had Trump in mind when crafting the bill. “As a Navy veteran and former prosecutor, I have zero tolerance for any betrayal of the public trust, especially when it comes to classified information and our national security,” she said. “That’s why I’m extremely concerned about recent charges against Donald Trump and his continued desire to access sensitive classified information, despite reckless actions, and serious criminal charges,” she added. https://www.yahoo.com/news/democrat-introduce-bill-bar-menendez-135647290.html
  7. Daniels didn't meet with any teams before his Pro-day, all interviews were scheduled for after the throwing session. Maye is meeting multiple teams before his session. Patriots are sending that same massive horde of brass. They sure don't strike me as a team that is doing the things of an outfit that is gonna trade out of the #3 spot. They are doing all the homework.
  8. This is a solid and reasonable position to take @mistertim. I agree that factors that "potentially affect the qbs devevelopment" should be fair game. The only distinction I would make, and it is a critical distinction, is that what's ultimately important is what Jayden does, not what happens to him, or in this case what his mother allegedly did. In other words, it is Jayden's choices, not his mother's behavior, that I would focus on in evaluating his suitability as a potential franchise quarterback. There's a much larger principle here: in an existential sense what happens to anyone is ultimately irrelevant. What matters is our individual reactions, ie the choices we actively make, to the daily challenges we face in this world. This puts the locus of control and the responsibility for our actions firmly inside each of us-- because we, or in this case Jayden, actively choose how we react to each situation. The world presents us and Jayden with myriad challenges every day, we aren't responsible for what happens to us, but we are completely responsible and accountable for our reaction to each of those challenges.
  9. Maye hit the cross bar from 80 yards out. Not sure I will see anything more impressive at his pro day.
  10. So far at no.2 it's Maye's turn. Nothing Daniels did yesterday pops out to me with his boys. Why did he not throw at the Combine? And a much tougher blend of throws. Maye has a chance to show off his big arm too and did not throw at the combine. Stroud cranked it up last year at the combine, J.J. made a appearance and had just as good a pro day as Daniels, now Maye has the chance to separate, is my opinion.
  11. Last years TE class was electric. Stunning that Ron blew it off and I and some others whined about that in real time. With this class Bowers is of course great. The next three IMO has a tier: Sinnott, Stover, Sanders. Some say Theo Johnson but not me, to me he's a tier below them. But that 2nd tier to me now would be the third tier in last years draft. Been watching a bit more of those three TEs to seperate them. i think I'd go with Sinnott as my top of those three in that next tier. I am a sucker generally for do it all TEs who can play anywhere, inline, wide, slot, backfield, can block and are good athletes. So on those counts, Sinnott seems built in a lab for my liking. But my issue with him is he's just OK at seperating and is good but not great with the ball in his hands. Watched an interview of him, he comes off smart and high character. So he'd be my guy i think after Bowers. I'd be good with Sanders and Stover, too but don't love any of them. As for the tier after that, I am OK with Theo Johnson. But if I had to go with a third tier TE it would be Jared Wiley. I can get jazzed though about Sinnott because I am jazzed about his upside. He's only 21. If I had to pick one in that next three who can emerge as the best pro, I'd go with him.
  12. Hate to say it, but this family is the poster child for eugenics.
  13. Def a red alert. The similarities to RG keep coming up. Maybe it’s no big deal but with such a close decision between the two, why take a chance on a possible diva parent when we can just take Drake Maye? There are nits to pick with the games of both of these guys, but off the field Drake hasn’t said or done a single thing to cause worry.
  14. McCain wanted to pick him as his running mate in 2008, and that jackass Bill Kristol told him there would be a riot at the RNC if he didn't pick a pro life Christian conservative, and pointed him instead to Sarah "Dan Quayle with tits" Palin.
  15. I love puns, so I was scrambling to find some way to contribute. Decided I’d play it straight and just share my opinion: I’ve always felt egg puns aren’t all they’re cracked up to be, especially if you have to try too hard. Then again, as a dad of 3, I’m a sucker for low brow puns (ones meant to go over easy enough for a kid to get them). Shell I go on? (That’s actually a rhetorical question - pretty sure I’ve already done irreparable harm to my street cred, so I’m not going to whisk it)
  16. I'm pretty sure everyone on these teams has watched lots of tape of Drake Maye. If they don't have an idea about his arm talent by now then watching his pro day probably isn't going to help them.
  17. I think some of the polls showing a Biden bump are indicative of what will happen as more ads drop and more people are paying attention. This doesn't happen until September, typically. I know it shouldn't be cause for relief... but it is a cause of hope. I also see so many articles about Trump picking up black and hispanic voters in polling. Paint me skeptical on that one.
