  1. Past hour
  2. I plan to rapid fire rewatch much of the WRs and TEs this weekend and will land on my final rankings then but for now 1. Marvin Harrison Jr. 2. Malik Nabers 3. Rome Odunze 4. Brian Thomas 5. Ladd McConkey 6. Xavier Legette 7. Ricky Pearsall 8. Adonai Mitchell 9. Roman Wilson 10. Xavier Worthy 11. Ja'Lynn Polk 12. Malachi Corley 13. Keon Coleman 14. Jamari Thrash 15. Troy Franklin 16. Jalen McMillan 17. Tez Walker 18. Javon Baker 19. Johnny Wilson 20. Brenden Rice Jermaine Burton would be top 10 but I keep hearing he's not on team's draft board because of character
  3. Have to say, I suspect that they had a reason other than him simply being a famous insurrectionist. I don't see a big corporate bank caring about that. Now, were they seeing a ton of shady transactions? I could easily see that happening. And them not saying why.
  4. Which kind of surprised me because for weeks Mike Florio has been talking about the kid acquiring the Cocoa Puffs as if it was a done deal.
  5. You are WAY out there on this. I lean to Maye but you are so far out there against Jayden I have to ask if he ran over your dog?
  6. I get why people argue to start him from day 1, if we sit him till Halloween, it wouldn't bother me any, I suspect we need another two quality draft hauls after this one to turn this thing around, flushing September/October down the toilet for the '25 class is fine w/me, but I know I'm a weirdo compared to most on the subject of tanking. I'll take multiple ---- years without a second thought if it staunches the bleeding from 31 years of misery. I can do 2 or 3 more easy if I know the architect can actually build with the assets we provide him through tanking.
  7. i don't know why people are cheering this one... it means that they couldn't get him to budge from his Trump loyalty... and now they have agreed not to prosecute him again for his long stream of lies to substantiate Trump's lies. he spends 3 months in jail for 3-ish lies (out of what...hundreds? thousands??? ) and now he is no longer a potential leverage chit against the real target. Seems like a loss for the good-guys.
  8. We're living in a simulation when a MAGA think-tank leader has the last name Vought. You can't make that up.
  9. It's simple really, if we know that NE is out on McCarthy and we want him, why not try to see if we can bait them into moving up one spot by bluffing that we want Daniels or Maye? It's just maximizing more out of having the #2 pick. I understand what you're saying, don't fool around and possibly lose who we want but that's what Peters would have to be sure would not happen. If you absolutely know that you're taking someone who NE will not then why not try an entice them into giving you another pick to move up one spot? But, to your point, if we're going Daniels or Maye it's more risky to fool around with dealing the pick.
  10. Actions have consequences. I hear a tiny violin playing: Trump's former attorney, John Eastman, calls out Bank of America and USAA for closing accounts John Eastman, a former attorney for former President Donald Trump says Bank of America and USAA closed his accounts without warning. In a recent turn of events, John Eastman, a former attorney for former President Donald Trump has spoken out after Bank of America and USAA closed his accounts without warning. Eastman told the Daily Caller that he was "de-banked" twice within a few months by these financial giants due to the backlash he faced for advising Trump during the 2020 election. Despite being federally insured and having received billions in taxpayer bailouts during the global financial crisis, both institutions closed his accounts. In September 2023, Bank of America informed Eastman of their decision to close his accounts, as shown in a letter obtained by the Daily Caller. Shortly after, in November, USAA followed suit, notifying Eastman of the closure of his two bank accounts. Eastman expressed his frustration, saying, "We had all our automatic payments and deposits set up with USAA, so shifting everything to a new bank was a real hassle." What is USAA's response to sealing accounts? USAA justified their action citing their "Depository Agreement," which states that they can close accounts without advance notice and may require customers to provide a minimum of seven days' notice to withdraw their funds. 11. “Jeremiah said that his own experience has taught him that hosting the QB prospects that way might allow a franchise's owner to meet all of them in one day.” https://www.nfl.com/news/2024-nfl-draft-five-takeaways-from-daniel-jeremiah-s-conference-call Groundbreaking stuff from DJ for those that haven’t seen it. Really wish I had his experience so I could pass on nuggets like this one.
  12. When I was at Walmart the other day, I heard an exasperated mother having a power struggle with her 4 year old who wanted Cocoa Puffs. The kid said "I want it", mom said "no", kid said "okay".
  13. I doubt any NFL player ever has to worry about that again. Wilson, Pearsail, Burton, Polk and a couple of others strike me as a TMac type, who is a solid WR1 without making a lot of probowls
  14. Ex-Trump Official Says Trump Is Hiding Extreme Positions While Campaigning A former White House official and prominent fundamentalist Christian said Donald Trump is “cloaking” his actual, “radical” beliefs on the campaign trail, and that a second Trump administration would see him “govern in a more conservative and more aggressive fashion.” William Wolfe ― a self-described “Christian nationalist” who served under Trump as a deputy assistant secretary of defense at the Pentagon and as director of legislative affairs at the State Department ― made the remarks Thursday during a conversation on X Spaces, a live audio chat room on the platform formerly known as Twitter. Wolfe was among half a dozen panelists convened by editors at The Sentinel, a far-right digital media outlet, to discuss Trump’s stance on abortion. “I actually think there’s wisdom in cloaking some of your power levels and maybe some of the things that you’re trying to do, and then once you secure power, and you have it, you govern in a more extreme position,” Wolfe said. “I think Trump is one of the first Republican candidates I’ve ever seen in my lifetime who has done that.” “Power levels,” a popular term in online far-right and white supremacist circles, refers to the degree of a person’s extremism or radicalization. It’s most often used when discussing the need to “hide your power levels” while infiltrating mainstream conservative and Republican organizations. Wolfe has intimate knowledge of at least one person heavily involved in shaping Trump’s potential second-term policy agenda. As reported by Politico, Wolfe has close ties to Russ Vought, president of the Center for Renewing America, a MAGA-aligned think tank that’s part of the consortium behind Project 2025, a blueprint for a radically conservative second Trump administration. Wolfe is a leading proponent of Christian nationalism in America, and has advocated for banning abortions, sex education in schools, same-sex marriage and no-fault divorces. He has also made anti-trans comments, once arguing that “it’s your moral and civic duty to ‘misgender’ a man pretending to be a woman.” During the X Spaces conversation last week, Wolfe ― who at one point used a transphobic slur ― argued that the Biden administration is “possessed by legions of demons, Marxists and radicals” who hate Christians and “humanity itself.” Click on the link for the full article
  15. Yeah, landing a franchise qb that puts you in the contender group covers a multitude of sins. With that said, doing something that shady can absolutely cause trust issues, and not just with Washington, but any team that wants to do business with you, not to mention (potentially) players/agents. And the NFL is a relatively small circle of people.
  16. Anybody know if JD even plays golf? Maybe he got frustrated hitting burners and whiffing while Maye was crushing it off the tee lol All I can think about is Keim having Clyde Christenson on who raved about how everything in the Maye family is a competition and him going on and on about Drake on the golf course and not giving 6 inch putts to his brother. Maybe that unnerved JD haha For the serious folks out there, I’m completely joking. Hopefully they had left handed clubs for Penix 😅
  17. As far as UDFA types I think I'm adding Bub Means from Pitt to my small list. Baylor Cupp TE Jackson Aker FB Nourzad G/C Ulofushio LB Easton Gibbs because I seem to fall in love with a Wyoming LBer every year Ryan Watts who could be a Chinn type of buffalo/tweener safety. Both TT safeties for different reasons Mark Perry also, because I like TCU safeties also.
  18. I'm sure this was posted somewhere within this thread but is there a list of the edge rushers and their 3 cone times that someone could post? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
