  1. Past hour
  2. I had never heard of that show until 10 minutes ago. I’m at the gym and was walking on the treadmill and it was on. Ironically, they were showing chop.
  3. Been watching Chop in the Hey Rookie show on ESPN. Good showcase for some of these guys personality. I talked years ago here watching M. Parsons on that show and about how Alpha and uber competitive Parsons came off. Chop is a totally different cat based on that show so far. Very chill and laid back. He comes off likeable but wonder if he's missing that dog in him as to personality. But as a player, his burst off the edge is insane. So love to have him. I doubt he gets out of the first round.
  4. I totally understand what you’re saying. And maybe you’re right. but my initial thought when he was gone was - yeah that makes sense, you’re trying to build something from scratch at this point, why on earth would you want that remnant from the previous regime hanging on? do you really want your rookie qb hearing Howell chants after throwing an interception? **** that. We had/have some players I like but if it was possible to dump them all and start with 0 I would have done that. I think they’ve come as close to doing that as you can …
  5. Cyber truck is no different than any of the other cars they’ve produced at launch. The same problems they are having with the cyber truck are different but the same as they had with the model 3 and model y and launch. They are a small manufacturer and they never built a truck before so the people who bought the very first cyber truck are essentially beta testers, and any fan of Tesla knows this. It isn’t like ford updating the 2023 F150 to the 2024 F150. They are building something that’s never ever been built before and it’s not a derivative. So for me they get a pass on that. A lot of the drama has been sensationalized due to Musks poor behavior. As far as the last paragraph a disagree with just about everything you said. Other companies are desperately trying to replicate space x efficiency but they can’t. And that affects the ability to put usefully internet into space. Since you have to be able to launch a lot of satellites and the start up costs are huge. Space X can do it for cheaper and safer than Boeing or NASA. As far as whether or not he can be removed, I think that it is impossible unless he continues to dilute his holding. And, he is already trying to increase his holding by asking Tesla to issue more shares and give a majority of them to him in exchange for his work with AI. There re institutional investors in Tesla, but there are also a lot of share holders who idolize him and aren’t worried about the price of TSLA stock. In the early 2000s when Tim Cook got canned there were no meme stocks, not much in the way of retail trading ect. It was easier to oust him because the people who owned shares cared about $$$ over the person. With Tesla I think enough people idolize and him owns enough of it to make it a much more difficult task.
  6. I remember this article. I remember thinking these scouts must've been watching completely different games and us. Especially Scout 5, who perhaps was smoking some really good stuff when he chimed in. I maintain that some people just troll media guys throughout this season sometimes.
  7. That actually did turn out to be interesting, because the LSU QB coach / OC talked about that specific issue in an interview during the season, it was one of those pieces that discussed the VR training. After working with VR for some time, starting in spring/summer 2023 and continuing into the season, which they had been using at 1.25-1.5X speed, coaches discovered Daniels was going through his progressions too quickly, moving on from guys right before they came open. So one of the things they did, besides slowing down the VR to real-time speed, and I think HC Kelly also talked about this, was they had Daniels start doing that stupid little tap-dance in the pocket as a way to help him time things better, so he'd feel it if he were going through progressions too fast. Allegedly the tap-dance started to help during the middle / second half of the season. So that's not a panic/frantic thing (despite what Solak, the single 'analyst' I've seen use that description, recently said about Daniels... right before I saw you use it for the first time lol), it's a coached thing. FWIW, Quinn also specifically discussed how impressed he was with Daniels' processing, talking about how he navigated the complex looks/schemes/changes SEC defenses threw at him. So Daniels is apparently a really good/fast processor, which I hope serves him super well in Minnesota after we take Maye and the Vikings trade up with NE.
  8. I can't see Chop falling to the 2nd. I think if he's still on the board, Arizona takes him at 27. Even if he lasts to day 2, Carolina (33 (to replace Burns (they can take WR with their other early 2nd))) and Arizona (34) could also take him. The Cards have a drastic need for edge. Heck, some teams may not have Latu on their boards because of the medical flags and thus, may have Chop as edge 3.
  9. I get the vibe between the press conference, Keim harping on he knows they internally harp on how valuable they feel their picks are, and looking at their prodays -- that they aren't trading up into the first.
  10. No, I think it was a combination of that plus his poor play, with his poor play being the main reason. If he played well enough, he would still be here, it’s as simple as that. They were going to trade him, no matter who they were picking at #2.
  11. RG3 does what he does best. Try to Telegraph. Doesn't work with me and how horrible that he tell Caleb Williams to pull an Eli. That's horrible and sets a bad precedence, IMO.
  12. This won’t happen but my tentative ideal might be Chop at 36, best OT at 40, then some combo of CB, WR, TE in the 3rd if it falls well for us
  13. I agree with the "Sam is Mayes friend" agenda. But they could have changed their mind since then as well. We really have no ****ing clue who is going to be taking snaps from Biadasz at this point. And the lack of leaks is so god damn refreshing man.
  14. I wouldn't wanna go to NE either. Who would u throw passes to, yourself? Whoever goes there is probably gonna have a rough start.
  15. I feel you, same time I'm curious how Steve Jobs and others felt leading up to his ouster from Apple. My understanding is it was as unfathomable as it was inevitable, if for any reason they brought him back and now **** is getting real for Apple now that folks are gettin bored with iPhone. (Imo Spple has lost its way since hr did and iPhone won't hide that much longer) I don't believe either company needs him to maintain distinction and relevancy amongst their competitors the way Apple did...Tesla is getting a "reputation" for their type of drivers, (debateable), but it's nothing like the cult vs cult atmosphere that Jobs created in Apple that lead them to getting rid of him. For me it's really what he's doing with Twitter that's hurting him and his own brand more, Cybertruck looks to have backfiree, but not sure what else I've heard wrong with other Tesla vehicles besides their autopilot feature being suspect. Satellite Internet is not a market he'll able to corner for long, I wish NASA would jus replicate SpaceX reusable rocket technology, leaning on private sector for getting the government into space helped but they don't have the same skin in the game it feels (why private sector space flight seems to be fairing worse then NASA being terrified theg fail they lose funding).
  16. I guess so-called cancel culture isn't only a thing for people on the left. Who woulda ever thunk it?
  17. You really GMAP and DQ were so scared of some sort of "fan revolt" when drafting a QB at 2 because Sam still had fanboys out there that they decided to trade him for that reason? That...really doesn't sound like them.
  18. I think he means Peters clearly followed through on what he said and indeed valued “leadership ability” very highly in his HC search. So he’s extrapolating that the same may be true at QB
  19. It is, I haven't picked it up again to play, but I plan to just start over and pay better attention. I picked up two more games with my MS points, one is a pretty weird one that I've had my eye on for a while. I loved the first game, but how is Henry going to forget to read in the sequel? Honestly, I never finished the game. I did so many side quests that I maxed out my level pretty early in the game.
  20. I just watched a Bram-Keim live youtube stream, I was working and sort of half listening. But Bram now hit the not McCarthy and Keim didn't disagree. I'd put money that their source on not McCarthy is with the team. Considering they couch the Maye-Daniels discussion as they don't know from the team. So if McCarthy would fit that same point then why not say it like that? And Keim isn't the only one who says not likely McCarthy. I've never heard Keim or anyone say its not likely Maye or Daniels. It's just McCarthy I've heard from some locals and national reporters who say they've heard not him. Also Breer-Schefter recently said they've heard McCarthy is firmly considered the 4th best QB from those they have spoken to Seems like the idea that these guys are confident in is its likely between Maye and Daniels. But Keim as always avoids absolutes so I'd say unlikely McCarthy but nothing is impossible. Bram said in that youtube stream that he thinks it could either be Maye or Daniels. Keim said he knows someone close with Daniels who told him Daniels preference is to go to Washington or Minnesota.
  21. That’s what had thought originally, but then after thinking more about it, Sam played horribly during the second half of the season, but still had somewhat of a cult following even after his poor play. The local radio shows were filled to the brim with callers that wanted to keep Sam and draft a tackle. Once they decided that they were drafting a qb, they had no choice but to trade him, there would’ve been just to much of a headache to keep him. On top of that his play didn’t warrant him staying.
