I don't know....I think he looks likes Frankenstein in pass pro. He has a rock solid base but he's got some heavy feet. To me he moves like a guard but he does have ideal length. But I will say that comparing Cornelius Lucas in college to now in the NFL looks night and day. When Mims develops he will be a stud. But I want Mekhi Becton...bring the kid back home and plug him in at RT. I think Becton could be our Morgan Moses and then we just have to nab one of these tackles in a very deep class.

I’m close. I’m an oddball… kind of. My preference considering JUST current ability: 1. Daniels 2. McCarthy 3. Maye My preference weighing ALL things: 1. Maye/McCarthy 2. Daniels I keep coming back to the thought, though, that we are out on Penix due to durability concerns. And, to be fair, he’s shown them. Repeatedly. But we (online community, not ES necessarily) don’t weigh Daniels potential health (not just his size, but how he takes hits…) the same. Someone could say Daniels is more elusive… but… is he? Penix is fast as hell. The only reason I can think of that we are all throwing Penix to the wind is he has very recently shown he gets banged up… and has been banged up in the past, too. But Penix is a guy that could be a real good QB… and it could happen quick. I think we’re going to find McCarthy/Penix we’re slept on a little and the top three were slightly overrated in the end. I’m not saying we’d re-rank them or anything to that extent. But wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.

I was on the Rangers board and they were talking about how big and tough he is, hopefully WIlson will put him in his place.

My take has been well established, I think, but drafting Daniels and trading back up for Patrick Paul would make my draft night feel… not as happy as I’d like. JD I’m “okay” with. His upside is fantastic. Can live with it even if I don’t outright love it. The potential is there. But trading back up for Paul rubs me the wrong way.

A wild scenario for me would be if we ended up with 3 first rounders….. Here me out… We use 36 and a third to move up We use 40 and a third to move up in both of those trades we get a 1st plus a late 4th/5th back in return, meaning overall number of picks stays the same. I know that’s crazy.

Draft memory from 2012 We were in the hospital to deliver our 2nd child, Domenic. I probably had 1-2 hours of half-rest in that chair, torture device, pullout thing they call a bed. My son was 18 hours old, so he was still back and forth from screenings, bloodwork and all the other initial protocols. Luckily I had a short window during the initial few draft picks while wifey was resting to get some pizza delivered to the room and take a breather without a nurse or screaming baby in the room. It felt pretty serendipitous to welcome my first son while my favorite football team was ushering in a new era of Redskins football. Short story long, my wife woke up to a room full of other new dads and nurses all hootin and hollerin at the TV. For a brief moment she thought my son had died and they brought the cavalry to deliver the news. I think it took her a good 10-15 seconds to figure out what was going on. Worst moment of her life while I was having the time of my life LOL. We still laugh about it to this day. She reminds me every year right around Domenic's birthday 😂 As we embark on this next version of the "team", I feel a similar yet very different type of ominous fortune about to bestow itself upon Washington. We'll see how it plays out, but this feels like the right thing to do.

That’s what it is going into the draft but could change if we trade up into the first round to get an OT or could change if we trade down and pick up a pick or two. If we trade back into the first round, I’d prefer somewhere after 20. Wherever we move up, only costs us one 2 and one 3. Welcome aboard Jayden. May you have a nice long career here and earn some of that Superbowl bling.
