  2. Only a third of the Senate is up every 2 years though. Doesn't put power to impeach with the voters when you need 2/3rd of them to impeach.
  3. As much as I respect Mueller, this seems like a huge mistake, as is trusting Barr and Congress to do the right thing with the report. I wonder if things get a lot worse down the road, if Mueller and others on the team will be having second thoughts about some of this.
  4. They like Sims a lot. I think he takes a big step this year. https://www.redskins.com/news/fully-healthy-wide-receiver-cam-sims-aims-to-validate-preseason-success NFL Sundays took a toll on Redskins wide receiver Cam Sims last season. Physically, Sims suffered a high ankle sprain on the opening kickoff of the regular season opener that landed him on Injured Reserve. But that wasn't the main cause of his frustration and disappointment. In a little over a month, the undrafted free agent out of Alabama had returned to full strength. It was the mental aspect that proved much more difficult, especially after the Redskins activated wide receiver Trey Quinn and running back Byron Marshall off IR in November, effectively ending Sims' rookie campaign. By rule, NFL teams are only allowed to activate two players off IR per season. So while Sims was healthy enough to play, he would have to wait until next fall. "Every Sunday I would cry because I wasn't out there playing," said Sims, who estimates he watched three or four games throughout the year. "I just had to get up out of that. After I stopped crying, I was just like, 'Man, let's go. I can't do that. Let's go. Let's go do something. Let's go work.'" Since early January, Sims has spent nearly every weekday at the Inova Sports and Performance Center at Redskins Park preparing for the upcoming season. He's out to prove that his productive preseason, during which he led the team in receiving yards, was not an aberration but rather a sign of what's to come. "To pick up where I left off," Sims said about his expectations for this season. "Just to keep going and going. I know I had a great year last year before I got hurt, so I just want to pick up and do better than I did last year." Sims, a 6-foot-5 outside target who signed with the Redskins on May 2, quickly earned the recognition and respect of his new coaches. He had a "tremendous" training camp according to Senior Vice President of Player Personnel Doug Williams and served as the Redskins' top receiving option during the preseason, catching five passes for 131 yards. He nearly added a touchdown, too, with his reception between two Jets defenders on Aug. 16, but the play was called back because of a penalty. When asked about the preseason wide receiver battle, Williams said, "I think what has happened is the free agent kid from Alabama threw a hand grenade in this thing." A four-star recruit out of Ouachita Parish High School in Louisiana, Sims rarely contributed during his time at Alabama. He caught just 41 passes for 467 yards and two touchdowns over four seasons, playing mostly in the shadow of current Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley and a dominant Crimson Tide rushing attack. Still, the Redskins saw enough potential in Sims to sign him as a free agent, and right up until the start of the season he did not disappoint. "Well he's got the measurables," Gruden said of Sims in mid-August. "He's big, he can run, you wonder why he didn't get drafted, a guy like that. Seem him workout, seen him out there, he's an impressive guy." Sims ended up making the 53-man roster and was on the field during the opening kickoff of the Redskins' season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 9. But that was the extent of his NFL debut. One moment he was blocking and the next he felt somebody land on his left ankle. He had to be carted off the field with what was later diagnosed as a high ankle sprain, landing him on IR.
  5. The immensely gifted, & immensely troubled .... former male model, & former Vol ... is an interesting character, & a worthy investment here, imo.
  6. Actually I am ok with that facet of American politics. It puts the power to impeach more with the voters. Elections are held every two years, if Americans want a president impeached they should vote for people who will impeach the president. A bigger problem is the gerrymandering and voter suppression that make a lot of competitive districts not competitive.

I've seen one for the Texans and one for the Falcons (best one) as well. Might be a league thing?
  9. https://deadspin.com/one-last-opening-day-at-a-dying-minor-league-ballpark-1834058240 So I have been noted as having an obsession with collecting bobble heads and sports memorabilia and a minor league stadium is always good for that as well as having a relaxed vibe. You just sit in the stands and watch baseball and sometimes a ball comes flying in the bleachers and you have to run like hell so it doesn't bop you on the head. This is the P-Nats last season at Woodbridge before they move to Fredericksburg. I normally hate Deadspin but this is a really, really good article on the Pfitz, which is one of the few ballparks left in the country that is so...basic in amenities that MiLB basically mandated the P Nats to move somewhere else. It wasn't flashy, and it wasn't glitzy, it was run down. But it was the Pfitz.
  10. With the 201st pick of the ES Mock Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select: Caleb Wilson, TE, UCLA After Kelce the chiefs depth chart isn’t very good especially with the departure of Demetrius Harris. Top 10 TE by some, Wilson will be able to be groomed by one of the best in the game and have a good chance to sneak on the field .

Presidential Election 2020 - ManChild vs Adult

If Congress won’t press Trump and there are no more indictments, there's little reason to believe Trump will risk a free and fair election. Especially with Barr in his pocket.

    Failure all around.
  13. It was the same problem with Dusty in '17. He either had to run his pitchers upwards of 120 pitches, or pull in crap relievers. We have one good reliever right now. Austin Williams ****ting rancid Taco Bell diarrhea all over the bed last night didn't help. Ross has to get some innings. Barraclough should be fresh. Grace, Rosenthal, and Sipp are unusable. Suero might need another day. We should have sent Williams down and called up...well...anyone.

    1. Fine. your questions: Were we destined to kill a bunch of Japanese citizens at the end of WW2? If we hadn't dropped the atomic bombs would God have found another way for us to kill large numbers of Japanese? To your first, No "we" were not destined to kill a bunch of Japanese citizens at the end of WW2. The people who killed them made a choice. To your second, how am I supposed to know? I don't imagine it was God's sole intent to kill large numbers of Japanese in that manner and I made that clear in my previous post. But again as I said in my post, it was people who did so that made the choice. You seem to be implying that any choices people make, good or bad, are an "end" in God's plans. Nothing I posted suggests I view all occurrences as the ends of God's plans; in fact I argue the opposite. I posted that God's plan was for Jonah to go to Nineveh, and that he got there but not directly. There were choices Jonah made to avoid that but eventually he got there. But to go even further, even getting Jonah to Nineveh wasn't the "end", because he was there to save the city from destruction. I can't even say for sure if that was the "end" because maybe the city needed to be saved from destruction because it would have a ripple effect on something else in the grand scheme of things. So I'll repeat, no I don't think God was sitting there saying "I need the Americans to kill a bunch of Japanese to make my plan work", but I won't rule out that those actions and those lives were part of a ripple effect toward some other unknown purpose. But since I do not have any information as to many large swaths of His plan outside of what He has made known in the Bible, it's seems ridiculous to expect I can answer what as I said previously were poor questions.

I mean we can come up with as many conspiracy theories as we want. They don't prove anything. But the fact is businesses are in business to make money, and it would be stupid for companies to deliberately make less money by providing less product.

    Xbox One Vs Ps4

Probably. However deliberately shorting the supply like these companies (allegedly) do at launch isn't helpful to the consumer either. Which kind of proves my statement that the consoles are overpriced at launch. Deliberately so, perhaps. For me it's worth the wait of a year to save 1-2 hundred dollars, have more than a half dozen titles available, and get a mostly bug free system with larger storage than the launch console.

While I’m not much of a Bernie fan I would definitely vote for him over Trump. I am curious what his cabinet and vp would look like though. If he puts some left wing nuts or pro-Russia types around him, I would be pretty worried.

    2019 Comprehensive Draft Thread

That’s just being downright supportive of your fellow ESer. You know, a guy posts a few things, gets cranky from time to time, shares an odd enthusiasm for gifs, and all he really wants is to know his opinions on a few prospects are seen... that’s all, we all just want to know someone sees our vulnerability... that someone noticed when we put ourselves on the line for our Tytus.... I truly believe we all find our Tytus eventually... it’s nice to know, that at the end of the day, we are just guys in outer space hoping to find that bit of magic... we’re all on the same journey, we all have our failures, but we live to celebrate our triumphs... together. There is no I in Tytus. Thank you.

Saying what prices "should" be when consoles can't be kept in stock is just your failure of basic economics. On another note, anyone buy Katana Zero today?
