MORE McCANTS: WR Darnerien McCants should be given as much playing time as possible in the final weeks. He's big and strong with long arms and big hands, and he has been a superb red zone player, catching six touchdowns. McCants does not get a quick start off the line, but he gets faster the deeper he runs routes. He could be a good No. 2 receiver next to Laveranues Coles, but the team won't know for sure unless it puts McCants on the field for an entire game. If an opportunity arises, the team needs to get rookie Gibran Hamdan snaps to see if he can be a legitimate No. 3 quarterback. He has a strong arm, but he came into the league with little college experience and has spent most of the season on the practice squad. RG Randy Thomas has given the team nearly everything it expected when it signed him in the offseason. He has been a strong run blocker and an effective pass blocker. He has excellent footwork, balance and concentration, and he has long arms and a powerful upper body that make it difficult for linemen to get close to him or control him. Thomas and T Jon Jansen give the team a right-side combination that could play at a high level for another five years.

SEE A DIFFERENT GAME: Until it played Dallas last Sunday, the team was getting more efficient on offense because the packages were cut down for QB Tim Hasselbeck. He is being asked to call fewer audibles and is taking three- and five-step drops and getting rid of the ball quickly, discouraging teams from blitzing. The offense has a better rhythm because the calls come in fast and because Hasselbeck relays them quickly. That gets the team to the line faster.

Like I said in a previous thread, it's time to break out the scrubs and make this audition time. It's not like our starters are trying anymore.

You think at least we could maybe have the starters in for most of the game against Da' Bears ?? Or maybe even Philly? At least try and go out with some dignity??

Getting shut out 73-0 against Rex Grossman and the Bears maybe? (just trying to think a little positive here ... :) )
