      ES Coverage Cowboys vs Redskins
Cowboys versus Redskins - now that just sounds correct.
Hello friends, JimmiJo here along with THE Spaceman Spiff. Space is already on the sidelines, yucking it up with the important people. Me? I'm thinking how grateful I am for the 3-car accident on the beltway...
If you cannot get up for this game, there isn't enough viagra made on earth for you. After all; the Redskins are hosting their eternal rival, the Cowboys. Winner will be sitting on top of the division, with a truckload of bragging rights.
      What's not to like?
Well, for starters, everybody and their mom is inactive. Chris Thompson Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson, Quinton Dunbar; all inactive. What a time to have have your top two receivers out. The chatter here in the press box is Washington should do what they can to bring in receivers - to include making a trade with the Raiders for Amari Cooper.
Then there's the question of which Redskins show up? They could come out and light Dallas up. Or, post an anemic effort to suffer another embarrassing lost. Neither would surprise me.
One this is for sure, the distribution in fans is something like 55-45 Redskins. Already an embarrassment. Until you consider this team has done much to earn the lack of support.
Still, you have offer the finger in the middle to those fans who sold their tickets to Dallas fans. What were you thinking?
      Back shortly...
The Redskins declared the following players as inactive:
o   No. 10 WR Paul Richardson Jr.
o   No. 23 CB Quinton Dunbar
o   No. 25 RB Chris Thompson
      o   No. 30 S Troy Apke
      o   No. 55 C Casey Dunn
      o   No. 74 T Geron Christian Sr.
o   No. 80 WR Jamison Crowder
The team held a touching tribute to my friend Rich Tandler, who passed this week.

Did you hear the one about the team that got chance after chance but couldn't score more than a touchdown?
That's right; they are tied at 7 at the half and completely anemic in the second half.
"Against the run of play" is a term you hear in soccer all the time. It is applicable here. It means the better team is either tied or trailing.
      Whoever said football was fair?
Washington needs to find a way to get hot in the second half. The Dallas Cowboys are infinitely beatable today.

Welcome to the Washington Redskins Derrius Guice RB LSU

Are we sure they didn't also do some surgical procedure on his brain, that might have altered his brain chemistry ?

Because the Derrius Guice I know, would have a lot more lollipops piled up there, than crackers.

Interesting read..

Great read.

I can’t lie. There’s been better days, but it’s football, and in sports, injuries happen. No one’s invincible to just skip them. Everyone’s human, and my number came up. But it’s very unfortunate that my injury happened before the season even started, because I do everything for my family – and it’s very disappointing that they won’t be able to watch me this year. But it’s all in God’s hands and I’ll be back, stronger than ever.

It’s just one of those things; you just have to wait another year. But I play for my family and not myself, and I guess that’s what will make everything – even this situation – worthwhile.

It’s tough, but I never stay down. I’m still very high-spirited now. I’m still walking around and smiling. Like I told everybody, I’m at least as happy about going out on a 34-yard run play versus going out on a 2-yard play.

My injury wasn’t even contact-related. It’s just the way my foot planted, which caused my knee to shift before getting tackled.

But as hard as this situation is right now, I’m gonna be good always. I know why I’m here, and I know how I got here. I told my father that I was going to be the best running back to ever come out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and that I would play for LSU and make it to the NFL and make so much money that the whole family would never see South Baton Rouge again.

“When you come from poverty, sports is your light at the end of the tunnel, and I just don’t think a lot people realize that.”

I was 6 years old, and when I told him that, I meant it. Two days later, he was killed. That was the last thing I remember telling my dad, Derrick Guice, and it’s a promise that’s been with me ever since – and this injury setback is no different. I just had to hold it down for my dad, and I’ll do it again for my family. When I say something, I mean it. A word for a man is everything. I always honor my word, I never go back on my word.

The struggle of coming from the ‘hood, born and raised in Baton Rouge … everything I got, I earned. Doug Williams, who is from nearby Zachary, knows I never had any handouts. Doug knows who I am as a person, which is why he took a chance on me because he knew all the s— that was said about me wasn’t true.....

The cynic in me doesn't line the facetime with Snyder

Dude is still human, in context I'm fine with it.  It's not like Griffins family getting special treatment when he first showed up
