Bakers not worth 6, but McClain is worth 5? Hmmmmm.......

Not sure where I mentioned McClain. One has nothing to do with the other.

Just didn't think Baker was worth more than 4 per year.

I'll be honest, this years FA is kind of feeling like years past so far. Maybe it means Scot wasn't behind those failures.

I wonder if Baker wasn't given an offer because he sounded off on Barry after a game or 2.

Or, that we are just horrible at this thing called football.

I think it's the 2nd one.

And people are still acting as if Baker is Warren Sapp.

Do you think his play warranted no offer at all?

Some people are acting as if Baker is Fat Al in his waning days.

Notably, Bruce Allen.

There you go TSO!

You got us a hard hitting safety and another tackle!

I'd LOOOOOVE Pryor.  That would be a big time signing.

Chris Baker deal w/Bucs: 3 yrs, $15.75M w/$9M gtd. He'll make $6M in '17. $4.875M base in '18 ($3M gtd injury only, 5th day of league year)

These need to be posted beside each other.

Well McGee is on the better contract. Same salary per year, but less guaranteed per year. If McGee gives us the same production, then we made the right decision.

What position do you see him playing?

WR lol.  Where he was the only WR all season to truly best Norman in my opinion.

I think after the draft we should re-approach Cuzzo.  Hopefully Cleveland, San Fran, and Chicago all get QBs.

But we should get him a new toy or two in FA and in the draft and say, "What's up with that LTD?"

So we give Mcgee and McLain more years and about the same money is Baker?

Bakers production and reliability On the field is superior than both the guys we signed. Not to mention he chopped wood worked his way up and got better while he was here. Even if he was a bit overrated but results matter and Bake had way more prodo. Lame.

Thats a slap in the face honestly.

Again. I dont think Baker is a better player than Mcclain. Go watch some tape please. Mcclain was a disruptive force in the middle of the Cowboys defense last year. Baker made a play every now and then.

I agree, the more weapons the more likely Kirk will do a LTD

But as far as Pryor v Norman....Josh looked helpless trying to defend Pryor in the first quarter of that game this year.  Huge size mismatch and what a big target, he's really really tough to defend.  Pryor had 4 drops this year and really looks like he's only going to get better.  Hopefully we sign him, only makes the QBs job that much easier hitting a big target like that.

So his previous employers loved him so much and are so furious that they FIRED HIM FOR DRINKING? And there was a reason "the nfl's best talent evaluator" was SELF EMPLOYED. Give me a break.

They know exactly what this was.

Multiple players vouched for Scot saying they never saw him drunk or drinking in the locker room.  What more do you want?

So even if he was just sharing beers with his co-workers on the job (which is normal in the NFL), they could fire his with "cause".  I don't know how anyone still believes this wasn't a power struggle that Scot lost.

Considering his past and the fact that Snyder grilled him intensely about his past bouts with alcoholism during the interview, would it surprise anyone if McCloughan had clauses in his contract that greatly restricted his use of alcohol while on the job (or at least on the premises)?
