AsburySkinsFan
Ok, so over the last six months or so I've taken up a new hobby, vice or whatever you want to call it. I have really grown to love smoking cigars. I know I'm a relative n00b but I like talking with others who enjoy it too. Post 'em if ya got 'em This one smells like a chocolate bar....can't wait to smoke this one.
HOF44
Smoked my first cigar yesterday. It was good with some bourbon. Will be trying more. It was a Rocky Patel 1999 Connecticut wrapper.

RonJeremy
I haven't smoked cigars recently but my go to was Punch and Punch Gran Puro when I did smoke. Perhaps I should add that back to my list of habits this summer.

Spaceman Spiff
Asf, you also take up drinking and porn after u gave up the ministry? Whoa, what? ASF gave up the ministry? Anyway, I do like Punch. CAO, specifically the Brazil. I don't typically spend more than 10 bucks on a cigar but one day I decided to splurge and get a 25 dollar Cohiba...while I wouldn't do it again unless it's a really special circumstance....damn, it was good. The Mayor of Fed Ex Field
I tried it once and barfed. You just accelerated your chances at lung and mouth Cancer. I hate when I go into bars that have have smoking sections and smelling it. Also hate when I go into a store and someone leaves a half cigar with the ashes everywhere
zoony
Asf, you also take up drinking and porn after u gave up the ministry? It's like he's been on a cross country road trip with Roy Munson I tried it once and barfed. You just accelerated your chances at lung and mouth Cancer. Not judging but didn't you recently take up dip?
HOF44
My frequency of partaking will probably be like 4 or 5 cigars a year. Now the whiskey???
AsburySkinsFan
Asf, you also take up drinking and porn after u gave up the ministry? No need for porn, I have a wife who enjoys my company. I have a favorite bourbon list though.... My frequency of partaking will probably be like 4 or 5 cigars a year. Now the whiskey??? Yep, the frequency of smoking a cigar vs. smoking cigarettes isn't even in the same universe. 1 or 2 per week vs. packs per day?! It's like he's been on a cross country road trip with Roy Munson LOL!!! This is hilarious!!!

Which do you prefer? 3) My first smoke was a Cohiba, Havana in the picture above. I had no idea what I was doing so I'm certain I didn't fully appreciate it. The 12th Commandment
3) My first smoke was a Cohiba, Havana in the picture above. I had no idea what I was doing so I'm certain I didn't fully appreciate it. That reminds me of having gone to Santa Anita for my first horse racing experience and winning a $350 exacta. A really good cigar and really good experience for the first one. I smoked those when I was Cuernavaca with Gran Vergel brandy and Penefiel mineral water chaser. Sublime. tshile
el rey del mundo rubustos and la aurora are my favorites hard to find around here in shops, always had to order them online.
The Mayor of Fed Ex Field
Not judging but didn't you recently take up dip? Yes, and I smoke cigarettes, and sometimes enjoy a nice cigar. I just posted the same things people posted in my dip thread, to see if anyone caught it, and you did, so you won 108 empty dip cans!
AsburySkinsFan
always had to order them online. Speaking of which.... Discounts on smokes and big sampler sets but seems a bit good to be true. Yeah. They're nothing special. Anytime you order online be aware you might get a package that requires some... recondition in your humidor. It's just the nature of the beast. You'll find some are better than others, or maybe some brands hold up better than others, or that it's just a time of year thing. Thompson's is good if you're also in need of some cheap gear. Lighters, cutters, different humidity control devices, etc. You'll find stuff packaged where it's reasonable. Cigarbid.com is where the people who seem to know more than me swear by. Especially if you're willing to wait for deals on specific items.

I had noticed that you aren't on as much as you usually are though. Punch is good, but I wish I knew which specifically I'd liked. I don't smoke enough to know, but I usually ask whomever's working at whatever store is the more full bodied/spicier one. Or I go for the bigger one since I like a longer smoke. Hey man, as long as it tastes good that's all that matters. Pretty sure I didn't fully appreciate the Cohiba I had but I knew it tasted great. You know enough to know that you liked yours a lot the first time and it made you interested in cigars, that's pretty rewarding.

Here's the review for it. He said that this review hit the nail on the head although he would have added that it was akin to getting kicked in the face by a mule. http://www.cigarsinternational.com/cigars/102784/601-serie-la-bomba-flash-bang/ As for me, I don't care for the spicy ones. I like smooth, and tasty with coffees, leathers and vanillas, which is exactly where the Cohiba was. I'm experimenting with a range of smokes to experience a bunch. I'm going on vacation next week and I have seven smokes...I plan to return with zero.

AsburySkinsFan
I like where you're at, well done. I'll check out the La Bomba. I like wheated bourbons best so it's probably no surprise that I like smoother cigars. Now, the two together........divine! I love blowing the smoke into a large bodied glass and sipping the bourbon from it. That should probably be illegal.
