Twelfth man
The Redskins safety group is shallow in terms of NFL starting experience at that position with less than 30 NFL starts at safety for the 8 players on the roster combined. Hall and Blackmon are solid football professionals, but their experience has been at cornerback except for Hall at the end of last season. Ihenacho has been unable to stay healthy and contribute; he has under 20 snap counts at safety the past two seasons. Bruton has started 8 games in 7 NFL seasons. Still, we are confident that Perry Fewell can work with this group and Cravens, Everett and Matias-Smith to come up with five players that can contribute. Bruton and Everett are very good at special teams too. We hope that Jarrett can use 2016 / 2017 to fully recover from his injury. HTTR
