I Bleed Burgundy N Gold
From what it looks like Alfred may not be with the team next season. I heard from early this season that Gruden preferred a different RB but i'm not sure if it was style or maybe they didn't get along. Only reason Morris production decreased was because RG3 wasn't at the helm to confuse defenses. I believe that if Morris wants to stay with the team the organization will want him to take a pay cut. I would like to keep Morris but Redskins Nation will find out what's going on when free agency starts.
Johns Bass
I definitely do not disagree with you, Bleed. But I would also add that the Skins running game came to a complete stop once Lauvao went down. I know that Shawn has some doubters out here but he did boost the run game. A notable quote by Allen from the article concerning Alf, "I think free agency is going to be a great test for him. If he gets a great contract, we’re going to applaud him. If not, we’ll see what happens with us.” Translation: we won't pay you much. Unlike Scot, who defers all contract questions, Bruce does seem to say that they are willing to let him walk or take a minimal contract. And as far as RGIII goes, he'll definitely be gone (big surprise). Another Allen quote, "...you go to the right team and you’re in the right environment, and all the magic comes back to you." Translation: Buh-bye... Just maybe there are times when Allen should shut his effing mouth. Play it a little closer to the chest and don't tip your hand. Robert is pretty much a given but you don't have to actually say that. Alf was not so automatic. Definitely did not have to say that.
goskins10
I hear what you are saying but un the end I am not sure it will make much difference. From a player standpoint it's probably better to know early where you stand. As we all know, the real problem is AM is a much better fit in a zone scheme. he is really just not quick enough for a straight ahead run game. He doesn't hit the holes fast enough. For some reason he also stopped making people miss like he did earlier. Overall he will be much better off in a zone system. I wish him the very best! He is a super guy.
