skins island connection
When: Monday night Where: FedEx Field 1st place. Strange. Atypical. Undeserving. Those are some of the words used by media regarding the Redskins unusual climb to the top of the NFC East. Keep that in mind, as I hope the organization does as well, especially on their bulletin boards. Sunday, the Redskins won impressively against the Giants, dominating the game for 54 minutes. it was the last 6 that got a little edgy for some, but fate played a part in it. Eli was picked off 3 times, stifling their offense, as 'th' Captain' threw for a TD and ran for another to take over the top of the division. Dallas on the other hand is a wounded animal. On Thanksgiving day they were ripped apart by the Panthers, and are now without their QB Romo for the rest of the year after re-injuring his same shoulder he just came back from. So, now it is starting to feel a little bit like the old days, with Dallas floundering at the bottom of the NFC East hanging onto life by a thread, and now they limp into FedEx Field a hurt and battle-weary team, but like a wounded animal, are dangerous to mess with. One could look at this game as a 'trap game', which would be unusual to relate those 2 words with this organization, but facts are facts, some may look at Dallas and wave them off as no problem, but this very same team did this in 1989 against a winless cowboys team, and lost, which gave them their only win of that year. Monday night football, Washington vs Dallas, oh, the rivalry doesn't have that bite it used to, but nevertheless it is still THE all-time rivalry in my books, the classic cowboys & Indians battle, good vs evil [ i'll let you figure out who is who ] which should bring back old memories of this long time rivalry. Look for this game to still be a classic; something tells me this game could be a nail-biter, but if Gruden understands this rivalry at all he will have the team ready. Cousins has looked good most all year, and will probably have a decent to good game, but over-confidence can put this team behind 14 points before they blink if they are not careful. The 2nd half will be the telltale of whether this Redskins team is ready to carry on being the NFC East leader, and I expect to see a big night from Jones. When the dust settles and the hats fly, Redskins 23 Cowboys 13 First correct score prediction wins a new Redskins cap or beanie !

Gibbs Hog Heaven
This game seriously worries me to bring all the bouyant optimism crashing down. Aside from the fact it's MNF, for WAY too long never a good thing for ourselves, in this rivalry ANYTHING can happen. It would be just typical of Dallas to raise their game and spoil the party. You just CAN'T underestimate them. As piss poor as they are. Still haven't forgotten their 1 win in Aikman's first year that stopped a perfect 0-16 season coming late against us. Cautiously optimistic but won't be resting until the gun. Hail.

gortiz
17-14, Skins. Alfred saves the day, huge game. runs for 84 yards! Seriously, this is anyone's game, but we are good at home, Dallas is terrible without romoSUCKS, I mean, it's lined up for us to win, so with that being said ... DC9
Obviously have to have this one. They have a ton of talent on both sides of the football and it hasn't come together yet. It'll be important to get up early in this one to put them in the frame of mind that they've been in most of the season.

Rattlesnake88
Listen... I live in South Carolina and I am surrounded by panthers fans. They are flighty and don't always know when to be fans. Their thanksgiving day matchup with Dallas left many of them afraid of the 3-7 Cowboys. I said "listen, your team is 10-0, don't let the media fool you. The Cowboys are exactly what their record states and same for your panthers". We all know what happened from there. Now, to be fair the Panthers are a better team than the redskins. However the Cowboys are not. I'll be at this game our sideline 50 yard line. So a win would be even more awesome for me. I won't let the "they still arnt out of it" crap worry me. We are the team to beat in the east, bring it. skins-31 Boys-

COWBOY-KILLA-
People/and the Team just need to take it one game at a time. We are 5-6! A team at 5-6 cannot for any reason think a game is sewn up and an easy W. We are the Redskins for goodness sake NOTHING is a given with us as we learn to win. So save the that's a W talk for after we actually have it. Just my ✌
Veretax
34 - 12 Dallas scares the skins early getting up by 6, but then Cousins connects with DJax in the Second Quarter to score the first of three Touchdown passes as D'Hall intercepts Matt Cassel for a Pick-6 off a Breeland Deflection! Redskins pile on a few field goals as Gruden goes Conservative at the end.
spaceman47
I believe we are favored this game, but I doubt we will get much respect from the pregame show picks. We need to earn that respect while at the same time show Dallas that their season really is over and they can plan their Super Bowl party. So save the that's a W talk for after we actually have it. Just my ✌Cents.. What's the harm? I mean, I know you and others are trying to "stay medium" and not jinx us. But think about it. 12 weeks ago, most analysts and fans predicted us to be the 3-13, 2-14 or perhaps the worst team in the league. We've pretty much exceeded theirs and our expectations. If we lose Monday? So what. We'll just be who they thought we were. While it would hurt, I've been going by the mantra of one game at a time. We play Dallass, then 4 other teams as far as I'm concerned. Scot is building something here. You can see it in small pieces, but the job isn't done yet. If we win the division- GREAT. If we don't? So what. We weren't supposed to anyway. I don't think anyone thinks this is an easy win. As we Redskins fans know, you throw out all of the "easy" stuff when it comes to NFCE games. Is the game winnable? Yes. With Dallass having a depleted roster and us being at home where we are 5-1, it is a very winnable game. I predicted 31-17, because....you know. But I think it will be closer. I've been predicting 23-20 type games most of the year. I had us beating the Giants 27-19. My true prediction for this game: 27-16 Skins. TheGreek1973
Jesus, Monday night football. I am going to that game and let me tell you I am scared because we just suck on Monday night football. Lets hope we rise to the occasion and put this laughable team away. No score prediction, hell win by half point.
DogofWar1
We should win this game. We need to win this game. We're at home against a bloodied Dallas team. No excuses, gotta win this. I don't care if it's Monday Night, we gotta win it. We reversed the lack of homefield advantage we've had in the past, might as well start in on the trend that we don't play well in primetime. Then hopefully @Philly and @Dallas we can start working on the road trend, but that's getting ahead of ourselves. Win Monday night, and if we're lucky, NYG will lose to the Jets. 27-17 Redskins. Closer than NO, farther than NYG.
