HOF28
Didn't see this anywhere else online but Jay Glazer on Fox pregame just said he tore his ACL/MCL in practice today. I know he didn't play well last week that would be a big loss for the team.I see it's in the large Twitter thread if the mods want to delete this sorry about that http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000588569/article/redskins-chris-culliver-tears-acl-mcl The Washington Redskins have lost a key cog in their secondary. Chris Culliver, who started six games for the Redskins this season, tore his ACL and MCL at the Redskins' Thanksgiving practice, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of his prognosis. Washington coach Jay Gruden wouldn't go into any specifics regarding Culliver's injury after practice. "He hurt his knee a little bit out there," Gruden told reporters. "He jumped up for the ball, landed on it."

Warhead36
Can we get out of his contract? Id cut him and draft a CB in the 1st round to build around with Breeland.

No. $8 mil salary guaranteed for next year. It wasn't a great signing to begin with and now it got a lot worse.

Momma There Goes That Man
All injuries suck but when it's this serious and happens to a guy you just paid a bunch of money too....ugh. Just lousy.
Warhead36
Its why I hate FA. It is not the path to success. I was shocked McC used FA as much as he did after preaching all that draft talk.

Warhead36
Draft picks get hurt too. Sure, but theyre younger and cheaper. The truth is, FA is just as much a crapshoot if not more so than the draft. Youre almost always overpaying.

Burgold
Get better. I suspect it's because he was toughing it out on an already hurt knee. Hopefully, he can make it back.

Warhead36
You realize signing Free Agents doesn't stop you from drafting well, right? In theory sure but teams that spend big on FA usually dont draft well because they dont emphasize it enough, and dont commit to developing their draft picks because theyd rather overpay for a FA. Look at the best teams year in year out. Very little FA activity. They might sign one big name when theyre close and are a player away, but even thats not that common. carex
could he be back by say the end of camp next year? With Jarrett used as a CB, Everett and Dunbar still on the roster I don't think they use his spot for another DB.
Warhead36
Nonsense. Not really. Name me a team that wins via FA? Never happens. There are no shortcuts to winning. GB basically never signs FAs and contends every year.
#1skinsfanever
He's been banged up all year. I guess D. Hall will be moving back to corner now Blackmon has been serviceable also.

TheItalianStallion
I suspecct that him playing so far off might've been due to nagging health problems. He might be fine when fully healthy, but given his health problems this year, this could be addition by subtraction. You ready, DHall? That said, get well soon Cully. Both Scott and shanny used free agency to address the dline and well I'm not thrilled with either or outcomes. Sorry you gotta draft dline! Not buy emAnd I mean damn! Are we leading the league in injuries? Projected starters out for how many games???? This is maddening
