Simmsy
The Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Russell Wilson are hoping to reach an agreement on a contract extension before training camp begins, according to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2532313-insider-buzz-wilson-wants-extension-worth-most-guaranteed-money-in-nfl-history Basically, he wants 60 mil guaranteed. I hope they give all of their money away to him.

Skin'emAlive
... And just like that, Wilson went from fan favorite nice guy, to greedy money grabbing villain. His fall will be far more destructive than Griff's was.

Shiv
Come on Seahawks, throw it all away on a bad call again. I still don't see what's so great about the guy. He's a game manager with decent athleticism ability and play making ability. He's not elite though. Pay him elite money and watch what happens. Scot built an elite defense and a team with great depth before they drafted this charlatan.
Skin'emAlive
I'd like to spend the next 20 pages debating this. Â Not sure what there is to debate. 3/4 of the way through Griff's rookie season he was a certified rockstar. Nice guy, hard worker, family man, well spoken, etc. Then he blew his knee out and now you can barely open an article without some anonymous "insider" coach roasting him for no reason whatsoever. Once the media turns on you, it takes a miracle to reverse opinions. ( like Lebron winning in Miami or Artest winning with LA )

Skin'emAlive
Im just talking about the media, and media related opinions/articles. Whether Griff is good anymore, or whether or not he ever becomes good again is irrelevant. Â But thanks for pointing out exactly why i rarely post outside of the tailgate anymore. ExoDus84
Dude is on crack if he thinks he's worth $60M guaranteed. That being said, I hope they give him $70M guaranteed. That way, when he inevitably declines and/or flops, the Sea****s will be in a terrible position. Win-Win.

velocet
  His regular season passing stats. If you're a front office exec for any team, do these form a firm enough foundation for such a contract?        velocet
Vilandil Tasardur
Never thrown for 3500 yards. Never thrown for 30 TDs. And that's with Marshawn Lynch giving you stacked boxes all day.

Well, to be fair, they're probably going to pass kind of less than the huge passing offenses since they do have Marshawn Lynch. To not use Lynch would be insane. TD_washingtonredskins
He's clearly not worth $60M guaranteed, but I'm not ready to minimize him to nothing more than a game manager. He's perfect for what they do and I'm sure he will continue to play well. How much he's worth...I have no clue.
Larry
His regular season passing stats. If you're a front office exec for any team, do these form a firm enough foundation for such a contract? I dunno. That sure seems like one heck of a TD-INT ratio. (2.77) Looking at other NFL QB's careers, their TD-INT ratio is: Brady:  2.74 Rogers: 3.96 (Dang!) Peyton: 2.26 Ben:     1.92 Among those, and granted, that's just one stat, but he shows up just slightly better than Brady, and the only person I looked at, who's better, is Rogers. (But he's a lot better than everybody else.)
