Forehead
Sit my people, as I tell you a brief tale. It was a fourth of July like many others, though the rain was sucking out my energy and taking grilling off the table. Fireworks ready to be set off at night if the rain held off, but the day...the day was dragging by. I passed the time watching the Nats game, cycling between ES, Facebook, ESPN, and a few other sites. Suddenly, as if by divine intervention, two friends shared a recipe from some other website, a recipe that looked good, and I felt like my American bones and the memory of my forefathers demanded immediate action. First the prep work.... Once all the ingredients were assembled, it was time to halve the onions and mic up almost everything else: They look good, but surely they'll fall apart during cooking. However will I keep them held together? With bacon and toothpicks, just like God intended it to be. But does it need anything else? You bet your sweet ass it does...a slathering of BBQ sauce ought to do the trick. Because AMERICA, that's why! The finished product, and it tasted delicious. Fell apart a little bit upon cutting, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed with bacon and onion. God Bless America, and I love each and every one of you. - Forehead

Popeman38
Looks good. Might have to try that one of these days. I had to set my canopy up on my deck yesterday to ensure the grill was usable. Miserable early afternoon weather. Turned to perfect evening weather. Well done, sir. Well done.

Kosher Ham
Sounds like it rained everywhere. It was raining here around 7 and I was getting bummed that we wouldn't be able to do the fireworks. It all worked out, although it was bit humid.
