balki1867
Hmm they were pretty close on with a few: - Flying Cars-- it's been done but there's no market for it - Self-tying shoes-- Nike did this as a promo (specifically because it was supposed to happen by 2015) - Rejuvenation centers-- Botox anybody? - Weather Service-- AccuWeather tells you the number of minutes until its going to rain, provided that you give it accurate location information - Self-drying jacket-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvTkefJHfC0 (go to 3:15 for the cool part) - Jaws 19-- No, but we do have a Star Wars 7 coming out - Pick your scenery-- you can sort of do this with your flat panel TV - Hovering Cameras-- drones

The obsession with Fax machines is really cute. I can't recall the last time I sent or received a fax even though my office still has the machine. That's fairly common in all futuristic stories though. You find the cutting edge of the moment and make it the centerpiece of the future. Something that just occurred to me: Luke Skywalker would still be on Tatooine if the Star Wars universe had The Cloud.
