Knowing nothing about him, I'll bet he has a leg. Kai is reliable, just not enough strength on kickoffs and long kicks.

Kai and Ty. Might cause some confusion.

"distance and hang time on his kickoffs"

Headed to the Redskins for mini-camp. We'll see how things go from there. Two weeks away #redskins #NFL

He made a 52 yard game winner in high school (poor sound quality):

Here he is in a season preview from last offseason. Listen to his coach at the end, says he has a linebacker's mentality in the weight room:

Here he is recently:

Chris Bonner is a nice pick up! Has all the tools.

Pocket passer type with a strong arm. Have him ranked ahead of the likes of Mannion personally.

Yeah, that write up makes him sound really well coached.  (Unlike a lot of the people we drafted.)

I'd be very happy to grab Bonner as a developmental QB. I actually grabbed him for KC in our ES Mock Draft.

Great measurable for a prototypical QB. Pretty solid arm. Played in a pro-style offense. Lower tier of competition, but led his team to a championship. Nice movement inside the pocket.

As to kickers, I'm not nearly as sure.

If I'm the guy making the decision, then Kai's resume says "Essentially perfect at kicking FGs, in actual NFL games, for years."  And it's really tough for any job candidate to do better than that.

But we've beaten that dead horse for while, already.

I tend to feel the same way.

However I think the Redskins must be thinking in terms of how to improve our kickoff team, which has not been good.
