  1. 1. If we had to draft a player at number 5 and Williams and a trade down were not an option, who would you select?

Other: Todd Gurley.

If I HAD to take a player at 5, and Williams is off the board but for the sake of this everyone else isn't, then I take the second best talent in the entire draft now his combine medical recheck has come back  positive.

FWIW, if you take both Williams and Gurley away from me and still tell me to pick, then there's every chance I go one of the top three corners I have. Johnson, Jones or Peters.

Hail.

*Edit* Mistakingly must of hit Dupree instead of 'other.' My bad.

With Mariota on board there will be trade options. Will they be worth it? I dunno.

I'd go Scherff. Only LT worth it in this draft that could replace Trent if he happen to leave next year. Which I don't hope.

But I'd honestly pass on all those pass rusher and grab kikaha later.

I'd probably lean towards Fowler, but any of Fowler, Beasley, or Cooper would be fine with me, probably in the order of Fowler, Cooper, Beasley.

Fowler is just super well rounded, he's the OLB equivalent of Williams.

Cooper is just going to be a beast WR at this level.  White is a little faster and a little taller, but so much more raw.  Cooper over White every day of the week for us.

Beasley is a pass rushing specialist, and nearly elite at that, but I put him below Fowler and Cooper because he's less well rounded.

One sleep name might be Danny Shelton too.  If Scot thinks he can be a franchise anchor at NT for a decade, it'd be tough to pass him up.

QBs are sort of off on their own.  If Scot thinks Mariota is the future, you pick him.  If not, go elsewhere.  They, as players, tend to be removed from my "ranking" list.

I would go with Cooper as the closest to a can't-miss prospect IMHO.  I was tempted to take Scherff.  Frankly, I'm not enthused about the so-called elite players.

I really hope the Skins can trade down and pick up 2 or 3 additional picks.

Of that list it'd be either Beasley or Ray. Ray's stock has slipped a bit though, so probably Beasley. He's got that rare pass rush talent.

I don't know about Ray.  He's got a really great get off and the media has a huge man crush on him, but outside of his speed and motor I don't see much else in him.  He's awful against the run and NFL tackles will adjust to his speed.  He has no more moves outside of his speed rush and he will need to develop moves.   I'd take Beasley over Ray any day of the week and I'd take Fowler the rest because he is the most well rounded player available outside of Amari Cooper and I just wanted a defensive player over offensive so I went Fowler.

I'm surprised that Mariota has 4 votes at this point.  Interesting how Beasley, Cooper and Fowler are running neck and neck at 8 a piece.  It will be interesting to watch this over the next few days and see what happens on April 30th as well.  All in all I think with Scot at the helm we will be making a good decision.  Atleast Vinny Shanahan Snyder or Allen aren't in charge of the draft :)

Give me Vic the quick Beasley.  We use him like the 49ers did with Aldon Smith his first year (mostly in on just passing downs; ended up with 14 sacks) and let him grow into his body a bit more and we come out of this draft with the best edge rusher since the 2011 draft IMO.

I think the Jags will take him first though.  If that's the case, I'd want Cooper over Fowler.

I actually think the Jags take Fowler.  Believe Beasley is a better fit in a 3-4 and the Jags run a 4-3.  Yes, it's a bit of a hybrid, but base is 4-3.  That being said if the Jags take Fowler I think the Skins take Cooper.

Jags would use Beasley as their LEO in their base 4-3 under.  It's how the Seahawks have used Bruce Irvin and it's how the Vikings have used Anthony Barr.  It's also how the Falcons would use Beasley if they were somehow able to draft him.  I think Gus Bradley and Dan Quinn are salivating over the chance to draft Beasley.

I'd go for Williams. For some reason, I also really like Shelton even though I suspect he's considered a reach at 5, but a really athletic, stout, and powerful nose guard would be great.

I see Dog of War is with me.

Ah, forgot about Shelton, would be a nice option as well, but Jordan Philips in the early second can be enticing as well. Maybe even Grady Jarrett later.
