There goes Jay Gruden's amateur reporter...doing amateurish things...

This is ESPN reporter Britt McHenry reportedly going crazy on a parking lot attendant.  Unfortunately, there’s little context to the video as it was uploaded on the Live Leak website.  We do know that McHenry had her car towed after dinner in Arlington, Virginia, but we don’t know if the video is related to that incident.  It’s very unflattering for McHenry to say the least as she pretty much checks all the boxes for how someone on national television should not act around everyday people.

Somewhat mitigating is that Advanced Towing in Arlington is a scummy, predatory, overzealous towing company.

Here's their Yelp page:

She may have been rightfully pissed, because they've been known to use shady justification for towing.

Still, it's always really stupid to use the "Do you know who I am?" line, not to mention the "I'm on television" line.

Do towing companies get any positive reviews?

Surely people aren't expecting quality individuals to be hired from ESPN.

Most people are not in a good mood picking up their car after it gets towed.  I'll give her a pass.

That is no reason for to berate whoever it was she was berating in the manner she was. Unless she as talking to the manager who promotes potential shady towing practices there is no valid excuse for to carry on the way she did to some employee who was just doing their job.

These impounds are horrible. They make their livings by extortion. I get the anger. Actually she seemed fairly calm considering.

The one thing I would say against her is that she didn't need to demean the attendant the way she did. It's just not nice.

Nobody should talk to another human being like that. I don't care what company they work for. You guys giving her a pass for her degrading tone and language is ridiculous.

Yeah, I highly doubt thats the first time she's dressed somebody down like that. She got caught being an asshole

To me, it's beyond being an asshole. That's just a despicable way to speak to another human being. People are so damn vain and spiteful man, it's unbelievable. Imagine someone talking to you like that. I'd want to go home and die after that.

One of my friends from Nantucket saw John Kerry pull the "do you know who I am" card.  It was sometime in the late 90's.  They were in line waiting to get into some event and Kerry tried to cut in line.  The employee told Kerry he couldn't cut in line.  Kerry went on a rant saying "do you know who I am?  I'll have your job!"

Pretty, entitled girl acts like a douchebag to others she deems inferior, despite the fact that she, herself, is not what most would call "wildly successful". No way!

She probably has a valid grievance against the towing company, but acting like a snobby high school cheerleader isn't going to help matters.

Clap, clap, clap, way to show off all that intelligence you acquired in college, hun!  Evidently she missed the class that provided tips on how to act when you have a camera trained on you.

I have to say, I'm surprised that anyone would give her a pass.  Would you so easily give a chick a pass for acting that way if she didn't look like a model?

No way she gets a pass from me.  I don't care what the towing company may have done, what its reputation is, or how upset she was that her car got towed.  You simply can not talk to people that way.  Good Lord.  The way she was throwing downright nasty, personally degrading comments at this poor woman disgusts me.  What a horrible human being!  I'd love to spike a volleyball directly into her perfect nose/shiny veneers. :)

Is it Friday yet?
