dfitzo53
Nothing is going to change there. According to the article nobody's pay was docked and there were no suspensions or demotions. The county denied that the game encouraged violence despite concrete evidence to the contrary. Shoot, they're probably all laughing about it and still playing the game while the taxpayers foot their bill.

Shoot, they're probably all laughing about it and still playing the game while the taxpayers foot their bill. This happens constantly. Prisons brutalize people and then insult the intelligence of everyone that bothers to read about it by providing a flimsy explanation as to why nothing is wrong. Don't expect anything to be done because the victims here are prisoners. Criminals. Scum. If they didn't want to get their asses beat by brutes that celebrate their savagery with trinkets law abiding hard working men and women, they shouldn't have committed a crime. This notion of "those people deserve it" or that "those people bring it on themselves", repeats throughout pretty much any historical or current story of wide spread abuse at the hands of government (or in instances where the government turns a blind eye).

China
‘Disturbing’: Attorney, family frustrated by investigators’ silence on Ismael Lopez case SOUTHAVEN, MS (WMC) - It's been one year since police in Southaven shot and killed Ismael Lopez. Lopez's autopsy was completed last month, but the details of the autopsy have not been released. Officials said the delay stemmed in part from the fact that the medical examiner who did the autopsy moved to Maine. The completed autopsy has since sent to district attorney John Champion. Lopez was a father and husband who was shot and killed after Southaven police officers went to the wrong house, according to multiple reports. The officers said Lopez was carrying a gun when he opened the door and refused to put it down. The attorney for the Lopez family, Murray Wells, said the police story is not accurate. He believes his investigative team gathered enough information to come to a conclusion without seeing the autopsy. He said the door was closed and officers shot Lopez in the back of the head. "We have a theory, not confirmed yet, that the dog was at the door, they shot through the door to shoot the dog and hit Ismael Lopez," Wells said. Of the officers involved, one quit the force and the other is on desk duty. Champion said after he reviews the autopsy, he will decide whether to present his findings to a grand jury or clear the officers. Wells said it is extremely frustrating and disturbing that investigative officials have been silent about the case. "Now one year later, no answers, no why, no who, now how come, no ‘we're sorry,’ no ‘we regret the fact it happened,’" Wells said. ... "Not only did your husband die at the hands of our officers, we're going to make a baseless nonfactual claim that you're not allowed to learn about the cause of death because you're not married,” Wells said. Their marriage license is dated February 3, 2003. Click on the link for the full article
China
Good cop, bad cop (and mayor): SERGEANT WHO CHARGED MAYOR, POLICE CHIEF, AND FORMER CHIEF FIRED The New Holland Police Department has fired a police sergeant just mere seconds after he served charges on the mayor and police chief. A GoFundMe account has been set up as a result. Sergeant Brad Mick was handed a termination letter — without a cited cause — and his last paycheck shortly before 6:30 p.m. Before that happened, however, Mick walked into town hall where a meeting was about to get underway and handed a felony summons to Mayor Clair “Butch” Betzko and Police Chief David Conrad. Conrad is charged with a fifth degree felony count of forgery and the mayor is charged with complicity to forgery and obstruction of official business. Betzko at first refused to accept the charges from Mick by throwing the paper back at the sergeant who was serving the mayor. Conrad took his charges without issue, but in return, handed Mick a final paycheck and termination letter. Mick walked back into the lobby where there was standing room only and said, “Just so you know, people, if you do the right think around here, you get terminated.” The crowd erupted into shouts calling for the resignation of the mayor. Apparently lying isn't a big deal either.

Can't seem to find who initiated the investigation but would be highly interested in the report. Judging by the actions of the vid going to guess it wasn't any of the officers. China
Arizona police supervisor taped office sex on body cam, lawsuit says A former Superior police commander filmed himself having sex in his office using a department body camera, and stored pornography on a departmental computer, according to court and investigative records that portray a law enforcement agency dominated by officers who were previously fired or suspended from other departments. The ex-commander, Anthony Doran, was the target of an administrative probe in March by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. A report from that investigation, obtained by The Arizona Republic, alleges a Superior police secretary discovered the sex video while conducting official business on Doran’s computer. The video, dated in April 2017, allegedly was stored on a jump drive that resembled a police radio and was attached to Doran's computer. The sheriff's report describes a nearly four-minute video showing Doran, then the agency's second in command, wearing a uniform shirt with the Superior police insignia, but no pants or underwear. “Anthony is sitting in an office chair and straddling him is a naked adult female (who is not a police employee),” says the report. When confronted about the body cam video, the report says, Doran said he did not deserve termination. "I'll admit to that (violation) and take my 40," he said, apparently referring to a one-week suspension. Why am I Mr. Pink?
On 8/12/2018 at 12:10 AM, visionary said: This is a big problem. Police with a special task force ... of walking up to black people and demanding ID. I checked, there is no MD law that a pedestrian has to have ID. Notice how the guy makes sure to keep his hands by his side bc he knows if he raised his hands in an instinctive move to cover himself it will be viewed as resisting or fighting back. Thats hard to do. When getting punched people's reaction is to cover up. This POS cop is a ****. What really pisses me off .. this **** cop then just resigns getting full pension and privileges and can just go be a cop in the county or PA or anywhere he wants. They normally wait until right before their final hearing (years later) to resign the day before. This cop is a POS. I think more than half the Balt City cops are POS. Ive dealt with enough of them. Theyre mostly assholes living right over the PA line. Drive down in their super charged F150s, wear steelers gear on ravens-steelers weekends just to provoke. I jokingly called a cop out for wearing a steelers skull cap and they threatened to beat the **** out of me. Not sure if serious or dry pan humor. Either way it was an odd encounter that just left me scratching my head.
