BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns on Tuesday morning unveiled their new logos, which will replace previous versions as the franchise's primary logos.

The club kept the team's helmet as its primary logo and the changes were quite subtle. The shade of orange is different and the face mask is brown. The secondary logo features a snarling dog for the Dawg Pound. Team president Alec Scheiner said the team would continue to use Brownie the Elf as a logo, as well.

I wonder how much $ Haslam paid for the darker shade of orange?

I think the Dawg Pound logo is bad ass tho.

It actually looks better because the gray face masks didn't make sense. Don't see how this is revolutionary. I get tradition, but maybe they need to slap the letter C, elf or dog pound on their helmets because I think its hard to market a team without a clear logo on helmet.

Wonder if Haslam hired a team from Nike to come up with this idea because he wasted his money.

I seriously agree. My entire life the Browns have always had the ugliest unis other than maybe the TB creamsicles.

Sorry. Ravens. Hands down.  (Well, nowdays.  Yeah, if you go historical, the creamsickles are contenders.)

I mean, heck, they've even got goofy looking numbers.

Browns are a classic look. They're so ugly it's awesome. If they change the numbers from block to sans serif I might put my hand through a wall. With the face mask going brown I suspect we will see a return of the orange pants b/c it would seem they're moving away from white in general. To me the white, and the traditional aspects of the uniform (block numbers, one set of white pants) is what gives value to their look and how it plays off the brown/orange combo. Losing it too much and they might stray into Bengal territory which is the ironies of irony. Dawg Pound logo is pretty bad, looks like something a local MMA gym would have, then again for Cleveland ultras it might be on point.

At first I thought it was an onion article.  Not a drastic change so kind of a waste, aside from changing the facemask color.  Overall though nothing wrong with the Browns uniform but I like tradition as well.  I hate these "modern" uniforms that look too flashy; Ravens and Seahawks come to mind.

The NFL has too much tradition and it gets nauseating at times. It's sort of along the same lines as baseball with their sanctity of the game bull****. The browns are hideous. An eyesore. I don't care if George Washington wore that uniform when he single handedly invaded Germany atop a giant bald Eagle..... It's ugly and all the tradition in the world doesn't change that. Get rid of it (and a few others too).

But the monstrosities that Oregon and Maryland put out go too far the other way. I'm kind of in the middle on uniforms. Nothing too flashy, but nothing too dull.

When a team wears 70 uniforms a year there are sure to be plenty of disasters.  I like modernization but not to the point where the team has no uniform and just switch every week.  That's just nuts.

You've really got to be careful with modernization in uniforms. What looks cool now will probably look hopelessly outdated in 20 years. Maybe it's my baseball sensibilities, but you always want to go with something timeless and simple. Yankees have it, Red Sox have it, Dodgers have it in spades.

The Browns own that autumnal color scheme and I respect them for it. Is it the prettiest thing in the world? Not at all, but you know it's the Browns the moment you see them, for better or for worse. Sort of weird to think Otto Graham and Jim Brown wore, essentially, the same kind of uniform as Tim Couch and Mohamed Massaquoi.

I don't want to be that old guy who hates anything new or anything that has changed.  And I like the "CLEVELAND" lettering across the chest.  I even like the white jersey.  I *would* like the brown jersey if it had white letters and numbers.

But that orange color ruins everything. It's awful. And the team name on the legs is awful.  Burn those red and orange jerseys completely.  They look like Bowling Green's uniforms and no one likes those.
