Subplot? Was whiny silverspoon with daddy issues not in cahoots with Doc Oc to take down Spider-Man for like the whole movie?

He wasnt a villain though. The subplot was him trying to find out Spider-Mans

identity. Doc was the main plot.

Nonsense. He certainly didn't crowd the movie either way

I'll wait to see this one at home. Keaton makes it interesting though.

No Venom?  He's better than Osborn.  Thanos needs to be higher, he's rarely beaten by a single hero it takes team work to drop the mad titan.

I love Venom but he is more new age/modern era goat villain than all time.

Its like asking a relatively young person who the greatest QB of all time is. Young person might say Montana, whereas the oldhead might say Johnny Unitas.

Osborne is twisted and devious, and whether by his own machinations or someone else carrying on his legacy in another incarnation of "The Goblin", his hate for Spider-Man is unparalleled, and is constantly tormenting him.

Osborn looms large over the whole canon of Spider-Man.  He's the great nemesis of Marvel's greatest solo character.

Osborn is one of Marvel's most consequential villains.  He ended the Silver Age by killing Gwen Stacy.

This is why I didn't watch it. I heard they'd been showing too much and just decided to go dark on anything involved with it until I see the movie.

I'm not sure how big a fan I am of this Avenger'd up Spider-Man anyway.

I like my Spider-Man solo not getting his suit and Batman like gadgets from tony stark

Good call. I stopped it early at 1:45 and still had at least 30 seconds to go. Still pissed I saw that much

I think Parker's relationship with Stark fits nicely into the canon.  Spider-Man became a member of both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four at different points and he was a frequent collaborator with them before then.  It makes sense to draw him into the MCU through the Avengers.

That.  Looks.  Awesome.

Happy to hear the wait for the Defenders won't be too long.

GOTG II, Spider-Man, Thor and the Defenders... looks to be a good time for SH/comic fans.

I heard they are rushing Defenders out, and it will be much less episodes than the previous Marvel Netflix shows due to the impending Writer's strike that's about to happen.
