Considered by some the best restaurant in the world, Noma has moved temporarily from its Copenhagen, Denmark, home to the Tokyo's Mandarin Oriental, in Japan. From January 9 to February 14, they will serve a new menu based on local products, completely different from its original menu. Check it out:

The fixed menu at Noma, including wine pairing, costs 64,900 Yen ($550). The dishes change depending on what is available on the market. Here you have a few examples:

Pretty much none of that looks like something I'd want to eat, at all, let alone pay $550 for the privilege of "enjoying".

Meh, give me a succulent piece of pork, or a juicy steak, and a house salad... or some stirfry

Never been a fan of the "Pretty" side of the culinary industry.

I grade food like this.

70% does it taste good.

15% does it smell delicious.

10% when I learn what was in it do I want to throw up and/or physically harm the person that suggested that I eat it?

5% Does it look good.

Also, I don't want to eat bugs.  There has to be a line, that's one of my lines.
