Hey folks. I'm up in Omaha working with the rockettes traveling troup and don't get to watch football on Sunday. Need info, like how did Moses do. How the o line was ect. Please help me out with the good the bad and the ugly. I can get bs play by play on nfl.com( need to hit the refresh button all the time) but nothing is like the game on the tele. Thanks

That is enough, a head coach without creativity and a QB that starts even though he has major problem as seen by his 9 straight losses. Way past time for changes and way past time to quit the excuses.

I share your frustration and agree half way. It's clearly time to move on from Griffin. But I am not ready to give up on Gruden yet. Not by a long shot.

He is dealing with the hand he was dealt. Anyone seeing Griffin on film, even last year when he was just Ok, would have seen a lot of potential. SO he came here with the idea that the franchise QB was in place, and I dynamic one at that.

In the 2nd game he gets injured. He works through the 2 back-ups. Cousins turns out to be, well a back-up. McCoy turns in i few decent performances. But then griffin returns at MN and plays well enough to win. Then he lays that huge egg against tampa.

Here is where I start really liking Gruden. He makes it clear he is taking the clubhouse over. Remember we are only 10 games into his first season.

He comes right out publicly and tells everyone, hey our QB has some real problems. Then he gets the special privileges for Griffin removed (should have never been there but that's a afferent conversation. Then he opens the door to the owners eyes and the fans that we should start realizing this experiment may be over and that we need to consider moving on. He is taking charge and showing the rest of the team he is the man in charge of players.

The game plan was simple to give Griffin every chance to succeed. I would not be surprised to see Colt next week. If not as the starter then by half if Griffin still looks like crap.

Let's give Gruden at least till the end of the year.

I was so pis*ed after the game that I actually singed on from home, something I never do and posted this in an inactive thread: Another horrible game from Mr. hold-the-ball. How long will they continue to lose games because of a guy who according to all accounts, doesn't care enough to put in the work. No wonder he sucks so bad. erad

*********************

I don't get it, I played the game well into my 30's and never saw a "non-producer" get so many chances. The reality of the NFL is that a QB MIGHT get one chance, two if he's really lucky.....Mr HTB has had dozens and failed to produce......DS needs to get over his mancrush and make this about business again because it ain't about to get back to the NFC East with the QB he has playing! His foot speed in gone, his mind is moving at a walking pace and he's playing scared. Let him play the bench and see what happens with the kid....it sure isn't going to be any worse!

I have been calling for RG3's removal since last year. Unfortunately the kid has fallen victim to his own stupidity and to the Shanahan's cruel performance during the Seahawks play off game a couple of years ago! So, I am done talking about RG3 for the time being unless some genius at the Redskins continues to insist on having him Play. It's time to start shopping right now, not only for a QB but also for a new offensive and defensive coordinators and new replacements for several lacking positions on the team. Give Gruden another chance to build a team his way, then go after him if it doesn't work. As for Mr. Snyder, God help us all, all we can hope for is that he decides to sell the team.

I am not as nice as some, and you folks and you folks are hard to top today.

I have given up on:

The Owner - 20 plus years and it is still not a good organization, needs a replacement, even Jerry Jones would be a big improvement.

The GM - he hires coaches and finds players, obviously he is not doing his job.

The Head Coach - it was always his choice to play whoever he wanted as it was his future that was at stake, and he mortgaged it for a mistake at QB. Plus the mistakes on the field every week - never ending series of bone head plays.

RG3, I was a strong supporter, but now he is regressing at a time when he should be advancing, I have no idea what is wrong but it is wrong.

My moniker TheyAreBack, it should be TheyWillNeverBeBackAsLongAsSnyderIsInCharge

Hail They - I actually agree with you on all counts accept the HC. For me it just takes more than one off-season and I see some positives in his approach. We are all so disappointed from the last 20+ years that we want change immediately.

I see him evaluating the entire team and with the recent events I see him taking the clubhouse back. Something that needs to be done. He has to give Griffin every possible chance, and that may be finishing the season. What should happen then is that going into camp, the QB position should be wide open. He might even bench him before then if continues to play like last night.

The owner we can't change. But I do think recent signs from  Jay are that he has had a come to Jesus meeting with Dan and told him he needs to stop playing fantasy football and let him run the team if he wants to get things fixed. Hence the support for slamming Griffin and taking Griffins families extra privileges away (should not have had them to begin with).

BA should be a cap specialist only. He can do PR and stuff. He should be president and hire a GM to work with Jay (or bring in his own. I am  OK with either.)

Griffin is done here. Bench him then release him at the end of the year. Take the cap hit and move on. I have been a solid supporter but my patience has worn out. He is a nice kid but needs to go.

In a perfect world, I would gut the entire thing, even though I like Jay. We can;t get rid of Dan. But if he would fire everyone below him, the entire front office. Not even a copy boy or mail room clerk left. Sorry, I know that's harsh in a testy employment environment, but we just need a complete infusion of new people. Hire a true President of operations who then hires a new, up and coming GM.

Then leave him the **** alone!!  Let him make all decisions, starting with HC. let them replace the entire FO, scouting, player development, etc/

I agree on not blaming coach Jay. He is totally hamstrung in his play calling with RG at the helm of a sinking ship. For the sake of his own job, he needs to try another option there.

A very beat up defense kept the 9ers to 10 points until the last two min's. Your offense needs to reward them.

I didn't think it could happen but RG3 gets worse & worse each week. How's that even possible? He's totally lost out there. This loss is COMPLETELY on him.

I'm trying my hardest not to bash RG3 (maybe it's a Canadian thing) but he's making it very hard for me. We FINALLY have our boy Alfred run for over 100 & we have our D show up & limit the mighty 49ers to 17 points & our QB can't even pass for more than 120. What a bunch of smelly BULL $HIT!!! Man....it's hard being a Redskins fan....

Hail Canada - There is a difference between bashing and being truthful. I of course have been one of Griffin's more ardent supporters as it appeared there was good reason to believe he was just learning and would come around. But that time is over.

As you said somehow or another he is getting worse. I am not sure I have ever seen anything like this. He has the physical gifts. He has all the ability. In 2012 he had no problem standing in a pocket and delivering a pin point bullet 65 yards down field. Now, he can't see more than 5 yds beyond the LOS.

The last two games are completely on him, period. The only thing the rest of the team did was penalties on STs. That's not great but it's not what lost the game. The D was amazing. I just know why Haslett can't get that out these guys every week, and from the start of the season. At one point, we did not have a starting CB on the field! And we played much of the game with only 1 true CB. Merriweather was playing CB for a big part of the time. But that's another conversation.

Back to Griffin. Even though he is the reason we lost the last two games, it looks like Gruden may start him again this week. My only thoughts are it must be so no one (dan snyder) can say he didn't give Griffin every opportunity before kicking him to the curb. People are going to climb all over Gruden but he is doing the right thing. With that investment, you have to make sure there is no way to salvage it. If Griffin does start, if he plays as he did the last two games, I truly believe he will be benched at the half.

What people don't realize is once you bench him now, he will have played his last game as a starter for the Redskins barring major injury. I would not be surprised to see him inactive the rest of the year. It's easy for us to sit at our computers and watch the games and make that call, but it's different when it's your job to do so. It's just not the easy a call when you are the HC.

The next few weeks will be interesting.

And you're absolutely correct....because he's playing scared...gun-shy...look back, this is how he's been ever since he got hurt at the end of year one. Fear, whether it's conscious or not causes the tunnel vision he displays. We watch him drop back and we all count to ourselves as we watch..."1,2.throw it!" And all he does is hold the ball because once a QB has missed that chance the throw, that's it, there is no more....then he scrambles trying to make something happen and he's not nearly as strong as a Peyton or Big Ben...so he gets sacked, over and over again. erad
