Bliz
Needless to say, this is very bad news. 9 month rehab on the re-tear. For a 31 year old CB, there has to be concern this could be a career-ender Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter · 2h 2 hours ago CB DeAngelo Hall, who tore his Achiles last month and underwent surgery to repair it, tore it again this week and will have to redo surgery. Chris Russell @Russellmania980 Source close to DeAngelo Hall confirms @AdamSchefter report on re - torn Achilles. Per @jocktodoc - much longer rehab after 2nd procedure. Dr. Mark Adickes @jocktodoc · 2h 2 hours ago DeAngelo Hall's return at 30yo is in question after retearing surgically repaired achilles. Return after redo surgery 9 mos instead of 6. Jacoby6644
That's awful! Hope D-Hall gets healthy soon, but I fear you're correct in that this could be a career ender. Hopefully he can make it back...
Birdlives
If by some chance he gets back, it seems likely to me that he would be ready after next season and not for it. It takes about a year to really come back and be effective from one tear. I would expect if Hall comes back at all that he would be on the pup list to start next season and get back after week 8. More likely he would be ready for the 2016 season. CB's can play into their 30's though, so there's some hope. It's a hella long road though. TD_washingtonredskins
Ouch. I see the best-case scenario from this as letting Hall recover for the next year and then letting him ease into learning the safety position. Hopefully Breeland and Amerson can continue to step up into the starting CB slots. Tough break for Hall.
Dan T.
Ouch. I see the best-case scenario from this as letting Hall recover for the next year and then letting him ease into learning the safety position. That's the only scenario I could see for him continuing his NFL career. His ball hawking skills are suited to the free safety position, if he's ever able to get his wheel healthy again. Cooleyfan1993
Man, it sure does seem like we have no luck at all when it comes to injuries...just...ughh. That's all I can really say right now.
TSO
Awful news. That means we might not ever get to see him play for us again.
Bonez3
32 year old coming back a step slower... Bad break, doesn't seem like there's a definite game left in his career. I hope so, but we'll see.
MEANDWARF
Sad to hear. Don't think he'll be on the roster next season.
Voice_of_Reason
Awful news. That means we might not ever get to see him play for us again. Probably agree. Very sad. He worked his way up my favorite skins list.
kleese
At this point you simply proceed as if he is done and if he is someday able to help again it's a bonus. But moving forward, you proceed as if he's retired when building the roster.
Rodriggo
That's terrible. How does that even happen in this day and age?

DC9
It was an uphill battle from the first one. Have always looked at DeAngelo as a "football player" and not a "corner" anyway. So hopefully there is something that we can find for him.
HAILSKINSNYC
If he comes back, it will be as a Free Safety. Bottom line is that we need to add a veteran Corner this off-season.

CrypticVillain
Shoot. This sucks. Bad enough he was already older, and now he tore his achilles twice in a month. Shoot.

Commander -JB-
With that contract he's a goner. Glad to see Breeland step up & Amerson has been at least solid.
Davistron20
Just some perspective....he has a chance to come back and still play at a good enough level(though like at safety as you alluded to). I say this because I THINK the Eagles All Pro Jason Peters tore his achilles twice in the same sequence as Deangelo a few years ago.
