Diesel Hog
I know, I know, but hear me out. The Cowturds just released him, he could provide some insight to their playbook, and, we lost Rak for the season and could use another pass rusher. What say you? http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/cowboys/2014/10/21/cowboys-cut-michael-sam-from-practice-squad/17673289/

mikered30
If that happens we will have to endure the media questions about who showers around Sam.
Monkskin81
Horrible. We re-signed Brown to fill in the space. Sam is "not a has been, he's a never will be" ...end of story.

Jacoah
Only if there was something we could glean from his short time on the Cowboys practice squad. Otherwise, no.
theTruthTeller
I'm pretty sure you can't sign a player from the practice squad of a team you are playing in the current week. I don't think he's a horrible player, but he definitely is not a power rusher. He was basically insurance in the event that Spencer's injury prevented him from playing this year. I never heard anything bad about him, or anything particularly good about his skills.
longball
Bring him in for a workout. SEC Defensive Player of the Year means something. He brought pressure when he players couldn't be any worse than Po.

worldpost
I'm not sure Sam won't help much, maybe only in obvious pass rush situations. But as a marketing tool he would be a coup for any team that truly markets him right... Sam's jersey sales alone would mean a fortune, not to mention the good will with the GLBT community would be a deflection of the name game. But again.. it would be a media circus.. again. skins island connection
No, in so many ways. Not good enough to even make a practice squad. Nowhere close to being a starter. Haslett has his hands full already without having to teach another person the ins-outs. Haslett might use him as an excuse for why his defense regressed, thus generating sympathy and another year of his failure. Darma drama drama, damned sure have enough of that right now. No offense to the OP, but this is one of the least deserving threads i've seen in a long time. Now, pardon me while i go kick my own ass for even replying to this nonsense. Rodriggo
Zero down side tho not sure his PR upside is even relevant anymore. Barely made a dent with the Cowboys who are America's Sweethearts.

lovetoaster
SEC Defensive Player of the Year means something. In college it does; not in the NFL. College success guarantees nothing about being a good NFL player.

emor09
With our luck, we would try to pick him up as a marketing ploy and he would not be willing to sign because he disagrees with our name and the story would become huge.
TimmySmith
I don't believe there is a position in the NFL that he can play. I do believe that his sexual orientation has helped him get NFL opportunities more than it has hindered.
MattFancy
I say why not? We need help on defense. What does it hurt to sign him to the PS? And for those saying, "he's not any good, he can't stick on a PS", remember someone by the name of James Harrison? He bounced around different practice squads before he finally got his shot. [dih-strak-shuh n]nounthat which distracts, divides the attention, or prevents concentration Can you provide me with examples of how he's been a distraction this season?
