Redskins-Cowboys: 4 Keys To The Game

Recommended Posts

Ok my four keys are1: no turnovers

2: stop Demarco Murry

3: no turnovers

4: hit Romo as many times as possible

I would say run run run the ball but with this line I don't think its worth talking about.

Colt last week was 11/12 for 128 but 70 came on a good rak. That means 5.8 yards

per remaining catch. Not glorious! But again with this line he'll have about 2-3 seconds

To make up his mind where to go with the ball. Short routes only.

Hopefully we can scratch out a win but unfortunately I'm not going to hold my breath.

Ok, going to try and take a serious shot at this and see if there is a way to win this thing:

1. We have to stop or at least slow down Demarco Murray without stacking the box with 7 or 8. If we have to use 7 or 8 then dummo will kill us. Need to get them in 2nd and 3rd and long.

2. We have to create some TOs on Def. and turn them into points. We will not win this straight up and without help. The good news is dummo likes to throw us the ball. We just need to make it count.

3. Limit stupid mistakes, this means on STs and especially in terms of penalties. We can't give them short fields all the while killing ourselves with penalties, or worse keeping their drives going.

4. AM has to run the ball 20+ times for 100+ yds. No run game will spell absolute disaster for Colt. He will be exposed for the #3 QB that he is.

That's the best I can do. If we do all 4 of those things, or at least 3 of 4, we have a real chance. If not, we have no chance at all. I still think we lose this game but you never know, miracles are known to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I will be rooting for them just as hard as I always do. But pardon me if I am just not very optimistic.   HTTR!!!!

I think you folks are giving the Cowboys too much credit, they have some good offensive weapons but they have one big questionable one Rome.. Get to him and we can win. They have not been blowing out people in their win streak.

As far as running, we need to take what they give us, if that is run go for it; if it is short pass go for it. Colt if nothing else is an accurate passer and we have some great receivers, take advantage of our strong points is a good strategy.

If we try to run with the D stacking up 8 players to stop us, we will get no where; not a place we need to keep on going.

Note - you can't type the Dallas QB's name on this site, the site adds suck to it.

Actually, for me it's that I don't really have a lot of confidence in us right now. I wish I did, it truly do.

I agree re running with 8 in the box. That's why if it were me I would use the pass to set up the run. Pass early and often, short stuff. Take what they give you then look for a few down field opportunities. If we hit on a few of those, especially if we can get a lead, then we run the crap out of AM. If they bring guys back to the line, send our boys deep and burn them.

I think we have the position players to do that, I just don't think we have the Oline. Time will tell. If we get this one Monday Night, it will be enough for me to think we are at least headed in the right direction.

My 4 keys to A REDSKINS Game (any game): Show up willing to play to win - Show up willing to play to win - Show up willing to play to win - Show up willing to play to win! Can you imagine what would happen to any of us if we show up at our jobs looking like the Redskins?
