9/29: Redskins Make Roster Moves

Recommended Posts

Jamarca Sanford - well he has 41 starts in the last 3 years (in his 6th year. Nothing real special in the results department.

Better than Akeem Davis - not as good as Trenton Robinson. I'd rather see them take their lumps with Davis and see what he has. Sanford is 29 - he isn't going to improve with age.

And he was an injury waiver this year. That is scary, all things considered.

Might be more of a Special Teams guy.

And Crawford is definitely for STs. I hope they don't actually plan on playing him on defense but he could be a huge boost on STs though.

Pickins be thin this time of year.

Oh boy, I just glanced at our injury report then the Seahawks injury report. They have one questionable player and one player whose ruled out, everyone else will play. We have a laundry list of questionables (50/50 shot of playing) and 4 already ruled out (not including our IR).

CTskin...it's called "managing expectations" and I"ll be the first to admit that I'm not very good at it. I like to win, I like my teams to win.....and although I realize that winning all the time isn't possible or even desirable in some cases, I sure hated going into any game knowing in my heart-of-hearts that I'll be lucky to come out without losing all my best teammates....because winning would take an act of God!

In no way do I expect to win this game... honestly, I'd be content if we play hard-nosed football and keep it interesting through most of the game. It's sad that I, as well as many of you, are in the majority with our feelings toward this team. I just bought tickets on stubhub for the game, there are as many seats available at cheap prices as there were at the end of last year- and this is against the defending super bowl champs.Who knows what Redskins team we will see, but it's hard for me to disagree with goskins comments from the other day about blowing this team up, starting with Haslett. The Seahawks broke our hearts, as well as our QB's knee a few years ago- we need to play like this a grudge match, we need to play mean. Also, we were just thoroughly embarrassed at home a week ago, which is fresh in our minds. If this coaching staff and team "captains" don't get these guys fired up for this one, I'll be overwhelmingly disappointed.

Does it strike anyone else as pathetic that we seem constantly in this same space within 3 to 6 games of each season, sometimes even from the 1st game? I don't mean to pick on CTckin because we all are saying the same thing to ourselves. They just put it in writing, as I think manchild did too.

I am so sick and tired of the same thing every year. Whenever you start a sentence this I don't expect to win, that should be a huge red flag that something is horribly wrong. I mean myself too. I have said the same thing more than a few times. On another post I stated I am resigned to fact (IMO) that we are already 1-5 we just haven't played the games yet.

Maybe they will surprise us and play like they give a ****. I doubt it, but I am typically wrong when it comes to this team. So maybe I will be wrong again. It would be a nice.

goskins- I agree man. There's only a handful of teams in the league that bring the same game every week, we are far from one of those teams. And, winning this one would prove that point even more. I'm prepared for the worst on Monday, but nonetheless, I will be there. HTTR
