been thinking ... Hocker might be a good add ... not "anti-forbath" exactly ... but missed short FG, blocked XP and can't kickoff into the back half of the endzone ... I think Hocker's shortcomings couldn't be worse than that and he at least gives some options for long FGs and it would be nice to see no more returns against the Skins for the rest of the season.

Come on man. Forbath has multiple streaks of 17+ kicks in a row in his career. His career average is 86.7%. He's missed 6 kicks his entire three year career, 2 of those came on blocks. He's the best kicker we have had in probably two decades.

I'm not absolving him in anyway. His miss yesterday was unacceptable - it was a chip shot and he deserves some serious grief for it. But we finally have a kicker who we can rely on (yes I realize how dumb that sounds given we obviously couldn't yesterday) but clearly 9/10 times he is good for it and that is about as good as it gets in this league. He's only going to get better and he is not a guy that you let go.

Reed Doughty anyone?

It's definitely looking that way.  I wouldn't be surprised at all if he shows up before October.

D. Hall has kept his roster spot about 5 years longer than I expected. Maybe this is the end for him though and hopefully Breeland and Minnefield can make us not even notice.

Losing #23 hurts.  I think the kid (Breeland) is gonna be legit, but throwing him to the fire makes me nervous - not to mention, we're razor thin behind our slot guy now.

I know injuries are part o' the game, but damn!
