Sticksboi05
SportsCenter @SportsCenter 10m THIS JUST IN: NFL implements new penalties for domestic violence. 1st offense: 6-game ban 2nd offense: lifetime ban Ray Rice got oh so lucky. These should be known as the Ray Rice rules kind of like the Son of Sam laws in New York.
SkinInsite
Does the player have to be convicted or just indicted. Either way pretty harsh, good for the NFL. I wonder if it covers sexual assault.
MattFancy
So if Rice gets popped again for it, is he gone for life?

Brad_Edwards_Fan
Does the player have to be convicted or just indicted. Thats an interesting question, and i wonder if it would impact a woman's choice to press charges. Say Rice is looking at his second pop for this and it will land him out of football for life... is his wife less likely to press charges knowing that it will also impact his ability to support their lifestyle (or her lifestyle if her plan would be to leave him). AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
Good for the league. Enough of the wife beating crap.
Riggo-toni
Whoa-they can't do that....those are stricter penalties than for even smoking weed, which is just so much worse than giving you woman a little love tap....I mean, these guys are role models. What does it say about our society when we give potheads a second chance but not husbands who have to put their wives in their proper place from time to time. It just ain't American. autoidiodyssey
I guess the backlash over the Ray Rice ruling had an effect. I wonder if this is for allegations or convictions. For something that harsh I would think it has to be convictions.
Rocky21
This smacks of a PR move based on negative publicity from the Ray Rice incident. While I'm certainly not for whuppin' up on girlfriends I am generally uneasy with the expansion of this personal conduct code under Goodell. The league has waaay too much unchecked power since Goodell took over.
