Who will be a surprise cut on Sunday? Or will there not be any surprises?

I'm going way out on a limb and say Chris Thompson.  I think they really like him and that they want him to be the guy, but he hasn't really flashed in the preseason games while the other running backs have and he's like that British sports car that looks so good in the driveway and has all the specs, but is in the shop way more than on the road.

RG3. The staff has to be so tired of his diva attitude and I've seen reports that his teammates don't like him. And he kicked his puppy. Besides, Cousins is waayyy to good to be wasting away on our bench.

lmao... thanks for the morning laugh bro....  but i thought we were talking about surprising cuts...   :P

Here is a shocking name to throw out there that could be cut:... Rob Jackson.

With our overloaded LB personnell, we have several LBs who have stepped up in preseason and in camp. Rob Jackson is solid depth but he could be on the outside looking in at this point.

Jackson's a good one. Miller had a good game and Robinson got some praise in camp.

Moss and Helu are possible surprise cuts in my mind, as are Tom Compton, Chester, Bowen (to some degree) and Golston.

I can't see Moss, Helu, Chester, Bowen or Golston being cut this early. Especially with Bowen re-doing his contract to help the team out. Compton wouldn't be a surprise IMO.

Kai Forbath - I don't see us holding on to two kickers until the final cut, and his performance thus far in games has been rather underwhelming (besides, Hocker can tackle!).

On the not-so-surprising list, Cody Hoffman - He's pretty much been invisible so far and has barely had even a wiff of the field for the first two games.  Of course, that could all change tomorrow against the Ravens, but, so far, he's pretty much been a no-show in the games.

Others?  Possibly Nick Williams.

Thought about making a poll but that requires effort....(pic)....Aaaand, I just don't feel like it.

That's you isn't it?  I always imagined you with long black hair, a fu-man-chu and sleeve tattoos.

Oh well.  lol

I agree with everyone that's been listed so far, I think all those guys (other than RGIII, though I know that was a joke) are in danger.

There are a couple others I'd add to the list:

- Richard Crawford (from all reports he's not 100% back to his self, and he could be in danger with the top 4 CBs already set.  Especially if they feel Breeland is ready to help out immediately.  I think if Crawford is cut, the team may end up keeping 6 with Minnifield as the young prosject who can immediately help on ST.)

- EJ Biggers (of course not if Crawford is cut, but the rest goes for him as well.  It depends on how soon they think Crawford will be back to 100% and how they feel about Breeland.  Crawford is 3 years younger.  I don't think we keep both, with 4 CBs already as locks, Hall, Amerson, Porter, Breeland, I think one of them is out.)

- Chris Neild (He's a very good NT, but and in the past that's been enough, but from the sounds of it people are counting him out due to his lack of versatility.  If that's the case, perhaps they let him go so that he can find a job elsewhere.  He's one player that's put in the work and does deserve a chance somewhere if not here.)

- Any of the RBs (Royster, Helu, Thompson, Seastrunk, Redd:  I think they're all bubble guys and it would be a little shocking to see the team cut one or two just because it seems like no one has really won the competition yet.)

- Cody Hoffman or Rashad Ross (They'd be mild surprises just because I expect them to fight it out until the preseason's over, and one or both to make the PS if they don't make the 53.  Ross had the 43 yard reception and the 42 yard kickoff return against the Browns, I like him better than any of the other no-name receivers, just because he's produced when given the opportunity.)

- Josh LeRibeus (He may not have done enough to overcome last season.  He hasn't done anything spectacular this preseason, and it seems the coaching staff has signaled that he's not their guy, since Long may be getting first team reps against the Ravens.  If they feel Long is that far along, why keep LeRibeus?  Of course, he's one that may wait until final cuts.)

- Santana Moss (I hope not because I like him, but if they feel some of the younger receivers give the team a better long term opportunity, then they may decide to cut him early so that he can latch on somewhere else.  Like I said, I hope he's not gone.)

Not so sure about Stabby.  From all indications, he's had a good camp.  Remember, he's strictly a LG and C.  Since Luvauo and Lich have entrenched themselves as starters, it would be hard for him to move into the starter role.  Him being versitle at LG and C will keep him on the roster.  He's not a natural RG, but I think he could play there if he had to.

The reason Long and Moses are getting looks with the 1st string, tells you more about the state of Chester and Polumbus.  Long is strictly a RG and Moses was put at LT to get a look at him there (since he played some in college) and now, he'll move over to RT where he belongs.  Like LeRibeous, Moses could play LT if he had to, but I think the team would rather develop him at RT.

I think the team keeps 9 OL:

Trent, Luvauo, Lich, Chester (for now), Polumbus,

Compton (backup LT), LeRibeous (backup LG, C), Long (backup RG for now) and Moses (backup RT/LT).

Odd men out are, Stevens (practice squad) McGlynn and Hurt.

Helu, Paulsen, Chester.

I have a feeling Aldrick will be traded and we keep Rashad Ross for special teams.

Paulsen would be a huge shock. He's our best blocking tight end and our 2nd tight end. Paul is still a question mark and Bolser is nowhere near ready.
