TheyAreBack
One of the keys to 2014 success is for Mosses or Compton to be at a level that they can start at RT as an improvement over Polumbus. Our number 1 weakness in the o-line is having to start a player that could easily be classified as a sub at RT.
manchild157
Hail Back- Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Reports I've read is Polumbus is massively strong this year . His strengths are no one can bull rush him over and great in run game. But those speedy olb's and de's can certainly run around him with quickness. Seems Moses has been looking better if he stays low and doesn't stand up when blocking. Compton probably has a edge over Moses right now, both being able to play right and left side. Right now I'm glad we got Polumbus, funny how he's probably through circumstances over time is going to turn into a serviceable right tackle. TheyAreBack
@Man - I hope you are right about Polumbus. RT is the 1 O spot we definitely need upgraded play, that will permit us to focus on the D and Special Teams..
Johns Bass
An upgrade at RG will help anyone who's out there at RT. Part of the issue last year was not being able to shutdown anything to the G/T gap on the right side of the line. Doesn't do much good if the tackle can contain the outside and there's a gaping hole left behind him. Seems like he spent a lot of time running around trying to get multiple defenders.  So far - looks like Long is tomorrows answer (like Moses) rather than today's. Obviously that might change but iRib is due. Actually, maybe passed due but in reality not that far behind behind the learning curve. From where he should have been drafted - 2 to 3 years would be about right for a starter.  Beyond that, might be looking at Chester as your starter again. He has been very good in the past outside of last year but now 31 maybe it is a sign of days gone by. If LiRib can take the spot - that's a pretty young line shaping up: Trent, Lauvao 26 and LeRibeus 25. Plus Moses & Long waiting in the wings. Kory not that old for an oline guy at 29.  No, didn't forget McGlynn - still think he's too valuable from the bench. He's your backup Center. Anyone else that would you like to see plugged in for Lauvao at LG outside of Kory? So he's realistically your backup LG, too. And you can sub anywhere on the interior.
