HOF44
I feel sorry for fans headed there on those days. I can only imagine the hordes.
Capt. Kaos
I feel bad for any fan that tries to go to ANY fan Appreciation day! I made that mistake once in Ashburn... never again! I can only imagine the hassle this is going to become, you know a lot of people are still going to show up trying to get in. Carlisle was fun, small crowds, easy access to players and coaches and a nice small town.
roanoker
For those not lucky enough to get a ticket via lottery, I'm wondering if a live feed of the event(s) is being considered.
kiingspadee
I think the positive for this is it will be a lot better experience for the fans. I mean it would make it easier for getting good sights and better chances at getting autographs. I did not really enjoy the 2012 F.A.D it was such a mess
Momma There Goes That Man
I hope they limit it to a small number f people. Too many people just ruins the experience IMO. I also wish they put in bleachers of some type so people that don't get front row have at least some chance at seeing the field.
Hdf561
I don't think anyone thought that camp here in RVA was going to be as successful as it was last year (and people were debating on this board if Richmond was Redskins Country RVA HTTR for LIFE) now it is going to get even bigger! I like and don't like the ticket thing, cause I cleared some things to go to these joint practices even got rides for my kids to go to day care so I could go and now I probably wont so all that work is for nothing. We even have some friends from Mass that are huge PATS fans and they might not get to go. However limiting the amount of people is going to make the experience for people who go better. I hope at some point they can figure out how to make it inclusive but not horrible with a lot of people.
Momma There Goes That Man
^^^ Seriously, just put in seating. Those who get there early can get up front by the ropes and you can have several rows for that and then bleachers for everybody else with plenty of walkways around. It seems like they have plenty of room that isn't utilized to handle for traffic and bleachers
SkinsGuy
You're best bet if you are coming here to Richmond to observe training camp is to go on a weekday. The local paper (the Times-Dispatch)says that the average crowd was around 6,000 on weekdays, which the training facility can easily handle. On weekends, however, the crowds could be as much as three times that size (18,000 folks). Fan Appreciation Day the crowds were around 25,000+. They've added Sunday practices this season, so that might spread out and ease the weekend crowds, but your best be would probably still be to go on a weekday, if you can
balki1867
I just hope that lady from last year gets a couple of autographs so she doesn't embarrass our fanbase on YouTube again.
Momma There Goes That Man
I hope I end up beside the "you gotta catch with your hands" guy again. He was hilarious. Telling players they needed to tighten up and that he was gonna be hard on them to push them to a championship. On 2nd thought...

That just reminded me of this (and the appearance of Norval in the video is purely coincidence) http://www.youtube. com/watch?v=eq47xFKUt30 (bleeped but it might be NSFW -- i'm not sure where the mods stand on this, so i'm linking)
