Smitty.89x
Says the guy supporting Steve Smith who never had any anger issues :/ Steve Smith got into fights with teammates when he was a 21-25 year old young adult. Keyshawn Johnson is a 40 year old man putting his hands on a woman. That is nothing remotely close or comparable. Steve is a hot head who gets into scuffles on the football field but he has never been in trouble off the field. He is married with 4 children and is a great father and husband. He is always doing charity work in Charlotte. He is a quiet family man who is all about his family and would NEVER get into a physical altercation with his wife. Comparing Smith's on field antics to Johnson physically assaulting a female who he supposedly loves and is half his size is a really dumb and shortsighted. Disclaimer... I only loved Smith the football player. I don't look up to any athlete personally. They aren't role models. But I know Smith is a genuine family guy from following his 13 year career in Charlotte. Bubble Screen
^^ I dunno, I think breaking a teammate's jaw during a film session, could count as getting into trouble off the field. And I don't know how you can emphatically state that Smith would never hit his wife. You have no idea whether he would or not.
Glenn X
I have no idea what Keyshawn Johnson did or didn't do. But almost anytime his name comes up, I find myself thinking of the following quote by Craig Carton: "Keyshawn is a douche."

Taylor 36
After all of the former players and coaches that have said so many negative things about this guy, I'm surprised that people didn't see this coming. He was a total tool as a college player, he was a total tool as an NFL player, and he is a total tool as an "analyst," so it is not hard to imagine that he is a total tool as a person overall.
Dont Taze Me Bro
Steve Smith got into fights with teammates when he was a 21-25 year old young adult. I live in Charlotte, I don't need a recap of how "wonderful" Steve Smith is. Â And there is no way anyone but Smith and those around him at home know how he treats his wife or if he's ever laid a hand to her. Â Or if he breaks stuff (besides teammates jaws), verbally talks down to her. Â Or if he is the best, most caring husband in the world. Â Â But regardless of his Domestic Violence charity, the man had to go through anger management training twice already. Â One shouldn't be so naive to think that its not possible that some of his anger/temper never boils over or slips out in the privacy of his home. Â I don't have a problem with Smitty, but Keyshawn isn't the one to have to go through two anger management classes and he never laid a hand on his girl friend (that anyone knows of, stated in the article I read). Â Key smashed a cell phone. Â From reading the article, it was apparently an accident that she cut her hand in the first place. Â And a friend there called the cops, not the girlfriend. Â Regardless if you think he's a tool or not, seems like its being blown up to more than what it is. Â Now if it ever comes out that he physically abused her then he should be drawn and quartered and the girlfriend should be allowed to kick him in the nuts repeatedly along with going to jail. Â Â Â Edit: Â And I'm not saying that just because Smitty has a bad temper and anger issues means that he is violent in his home. Â I know plenty of people that have really bad tempers that are the nicest most loving people to their spouse and children. Â So, don't think I'm trying to smear Smitty's name. Â I just thought it was funny that the poster's name on here was in reference to Steve Smith who has documented known anger issues and his post was attacking Keyshawn for getting angry and smashing a cell phone. Dont Taze Me Bro
Like I said, blown out of proportion. Â He smashed a cell phone, it was an accident the GF got cut. Â No charges pressed.
