Dan T.
Quarterback Josh Freeman and the New York Giants have agreed to a one-year contract, according to a league source. Freeman worked out for the Giants on Tuesday. He also recently visited the Chicago Bears. Freeman will compete for the No. 2 job on the Giants with Curtis Painter and Ryan Nassib.Eli Manning underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle Thursday but expects to be able to run again in about six weeks, the team previously announced. His 151 consecutive starts rate as the longest active streak in the NFL following the retirement of Washington's London Fletcher, and it is the third-longest by a quarterback in league history. Freeman was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in October. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings and started just one game -- losing to the Giants on "Monday Night Football." Freeman, 26, a first-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2009, started 56 games for the team. He enjoyed his best season in 2010, when he started 16 games and threw for 3,451 yards and 25 touchdowns with six interceptions. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/10790136/josh-freeman-new-york-giants-nearing-deal Good move by the Giants. I think Freeman has some good football left in him.

Mr. Sinister
Yeah. And I think that between all 3, one of them will start at least 1 game
Redskins Life
With Cousins, the Redskins by far have the best QB depth in the division.
Roger.Staubach
Well....If Orton stays, I might go with Dallas. If Weeden does become the 2nd option, I'd go with the Skins.

Leonard Washington
What happened to him? It seemed like yesterday he was carving up the Redskins' defense with the Bucs.

I thought he might end up here with the Allen/Morris connection.
wysknz1
A G'aints fan I work with was going on and on about this he couldn't believe they signed him. He is really bummed out. He told me about it then just walked away mumbling and shaking his head. Made my day.

I doubt the Giants were as discouraged by that game as you think. My guess would be that the Giants were impressed that Freeman could be in Minny for 5 minutes throw the ball 52 times.
