If you guys havent seen Call Me By My Name, its a must see.  Never thought much of Army Hammer as an actor, but goodness he was amazeballs.  Whole movie was great, but the final scene between father (Michael Stuhlburg) and son was so beautiful.

 

It might be because I'm stoned, but this scene blew me away.  I hope to have this relationship with my son.  So many people can't be who they are, whatever that may be.  and that devastates me.  Havent had a scene stick with me like this in a long long time

Mission Impossible: Fallout

 

Probably my favorite one in the series.  Tom Cruise is a psychopath with these stunts. 

 

Easily the best 3rd act in the whole series, which have struggled, for the most part.  Like, this one completely blows away what I thought was the worst finale in Rogue Nation.

Saw "BlacKkKlansman" today.  Very good movie,  about the true life story of a black Colorado Springs police officer; who infiltrated the KKK.  Movie gets an A+.

 

"Mission Impossible: Fallout".  Another A+ movie.  Probably one of the better Mission Impossible films.

 

"The Spy Who Dumped Me".  Solid B.  Funny female, action comedy.  Mila and Kate were great together.

Avengers Infinity War - 5/10 - convoluted mess that was basically just going between random groups of super heros the entire movie with very little direction.  Think I'm just done with Marvel movies for the most part.  They just keep getting worse and worse to me.

Finally watched Justice League after finding it on HBO Go.

 

Holy crap. LOL.

 

Legitimately one of the most incompetent blockbusters I've ever seen. Abominable CGI, laughable acting, forgettable dialogue, zero chemistry anywhere in the cast, uninspired direction (all of the conversations are just shot/reverse shot over and over and the actors were directed poorly) and the plot is totally rushed. There are attempts at backstory that are filled in at the end in under a minute. 

As far as entertainment goes, there are maybe two intentionally funny lines in the whole movie. The funniest moments come from Gal Godot's acting and the CGI. I've seen high budget softcore porn with better VFX. After watching Infinity War, this feels like the knockoff version you'd find at the grocery store.

Finally got a chance to see Hereditary.  This movie seeks to answer the question, is it possible to hate all the main characters in a movie and still like the movie?  I wouldn't have thought so, but apparently that answer is yes.  Toni Collette was wonderful and carried this movie.  I expected more from Gabriel Byrne, but the writers gave him almost nothing to work with.  If you like horror, I recommend you watch this movie.

I like weird monsters.  If you want to see a really weird one, watch The Ritual.  I think it's on netflix.  Someone really put some thought into designing that thing.

Nope.  I had 2 captain and cokes but I wish I had like 5 so I wouldn't have remembered much of the movie.

 

The only redeeming quality that movie had is that they translated Thanos really well to the big screen.

Captain and Cokes are great. I’ve watched it probably 4 times and still cannot find a reason to dislike that movie in anyway as far as superhero and Marvel movies go. I don’t understand how you think it goes from groups of superhero’s with no direction, I feel like literally every Avenger has some sort of meaning or direction in that movie. It’s still crazy to me how that managed to get all those stars in one movie and made them all work so well together.

Death of a Nation - Dinesh D'Souza's latest propaganda Documentary. Probably, payback for getting pardoned by Trump.  Comparing the Dems to Nazis and how Trump is the new Lincoln.  Pure B.S.  Gets a D.

 

Will be seeing Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 11/9 next month.  The tagline- "Trump is the last president."

 

Mile 22 -  It was just average. Your usual action flick, with a surprising twist.  The twist probably the only saving grace and sets up possible sequels.  Very doubtful.  It gets a C.

 

The Happytime Murders -  Adult Muppets.  This movie was bad, really bad. Almost walked out.  It gets a D.

I like all kinds if movies, though sometimes I end up seeing mediocre to ****ty ones.

 

2 weeks ago, I did see some better movies:

Hereditary was awesome.  Very bad idea to watch it insanely stoned at midnight, though.  

Oceans 8 was pretty disappointing.  I mean it was okay, but kind of boring and anticlimactic.  Anne Hathaway was hot af though
